Sirens: Slushy Thrown at Vehicle Window; Caller Reports Person in House; Suspect Cited for Trespassing

CENTRALIA POLICE DEPARTMENT

Driver Cited for Suspended License

• At 7:30 p.m. Monday, police responded to Tower Avenue and Cherry Street and cited a 53-year-old Centralia man on suspicion of driving on a suspended license. 

Suspect Cited for Trespassing

• At 7:52 p.m. Monday, police responded to the 1200 block of Mellen Street and cited a 50-year-old transient man on suspicion of criminal trespass and opening or consuming liquor in a public place. 

Vehicle Prowl

• At 11 a.m. Tuesday, a vehicle prowl was reported in the 1200 block of Scammon Creek Road. Someone stole multiple items including a laptop, backpack, purse and identification cards. 

Suspect Arrested, Released for Criminal Trespass

• At 11:26 a.m. Tuesday, police responded to the 1200 block of Mellen Street and arrested and released a 50-year-old Centralia man on suspicion of criminal trespass.

Garage Vandalized

• At 2:19 p.m. Tuesday, graffiti on a garage door was reported in the 300 block of South Silver Street.

 Driver Cited for Suspended License

• At 5:09 p.m. Tuesday, police responded to Reynolds Avenue and Pearl Street and cited a 25-year-old Centralia resident on suspicion of driving on a suspended license.

 

CHEHALIS POLICE DEPARTMENT

Slushy Thrown at Vehicle Window

• At 10:11 p.m. Monday, a caller at Market Boulevard and 13th Street said someone in a passing car struck the caller’s vehicle’s windshield with a slushy.

Caller Reports Person in House

• At 3:09 a.m. Tuesday, a caller in the 900 block of Southwest Cascade Avenue reported someone was walking around in their house.

 Theft

• At 10 a.m. Tuesday, a theft of a purse was reported in the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue.

Collision Causes Injury

• At 10:58 a.m. Tuesday, a person on a bike was struck by a vehicle at National Avenue and Chamber of Commerce Way, causing injury.

LEWIS COUNTY JAIL STATISTICS

• As of Wednesday morning, the Lewis County Jail has a total system population of 233 inmates, with 204 in general population, 28 in the Work Ethic and Restitution Center and one on work release. Of general population inmates, 169 were men and 35 were women and of WERC inmates, 25 were men and three were women. A total of 14 inmates were booked through contracts with agencies outside Lewis County.
