Police Book Assault Suspect

• At 11:49 a.m. Monday, police responded to the 700 block of Northwest Ohio Avenue and arrested Rosa M. Rousley, 39, of Chehalis on suspicion of fourth-degree assault.

 

Man Allegedly Wields Knife, Makes Threats

• At 2:49 p.m. Monday, police responded to the 10 block of Southwest Chehalis Avenue and arrested Samuel T. McQuigg on suspicion of second-degree assault and malicious harassment. McQuigg allegedly brandished a knife and threatened another man.

 

Person Reports Burglary, Vehicle Prowl from Three Weeks Ago

• At 7:49 p.m. Monday, a caller in the 1500 block of North National Avenue reported someone broke into their vehicle multiple times about three weeks ago. At about the same time, someone broke into their apartment, too, the caller said.

 

Driver Cited After Collision

• At 10:18 a.m. Tuesday, police responded to Chamber of Commerce Way and northbound Interstate 5 and arrested and cited a 32-year-old Centralia man on suspicion of third-degree driving with a suspended license and without proof of insurance. The man had been involved in a two-vehicle collision.

 

Theft Suspect Booked

• At 10:55 a.m. Tuesday, police responded to the 1700 block of North National Avenue and arrested Kimberly R. Terrell, 41, of Chehalis on suspicion of third-degree theft.

 

Theft

• At 3:08 p.m. Tuesday, a theft of medication was reported in the 200 block of Northwest State Avenue.

 

Police Arrest Assault Suspect

• At 6:42 p.m. Tuesday, police responded to the 400 block of North Market Boulevard and arrested Caleb M. Johnston, 24, of Chehalis on suspicion of fourth-degree assault — domestic violence.

 

Someone Kicks Down Fence Panels

• At 6:56 a.m. Wednesday, a caller at 13th Street and McFadden Avenue reported that someone knocked down fence panels overnight.

 

CENTRALIA POLICE DEPARTMENT

 

Suspect Arrested, Released for Trespass

• At 3:35 p.m. Monday, a 57-year-old Centralia resident was issued a citation on suspicion of second-degree criminal trespass for allegedly showing up on property after being trespassed.

 

Police Book Trespass Suspect

• At 10:30 p.m. Monday, police responded to the 1200 block of Mellen Street and arrested Raymond E. Campbell, 40, of Seatac on suspicion of criminal trespass. Campbell was allegedly told by police to leave a store, but he refused.

 

Thefts

• At 10:51 a.m. Tuesday, a theft of deli items was reported from a store in the 1100 block Harrison Avenue.

• At 12:25 p.m. Tuesday, a theft of grocery items was reported in the 1100 block of Harrison Avenue.

• At 2:14 p.m. Tuesday, a theft of medication was reported in the 100 block of West Magnolia Street.

• At 6:27 p.m. Tuesday, a theft of two pairs of tennis shoes was reported from a store in the 1300 block of Lum Road.

 

Vehicle Prowl

• At 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, a vehicle prowl was reported in the 1100 block of Brotherson Road. Someone stole a stereo and other items.

 

Man Allegedly Attempts Break-In Using Bolt Cutters

• At 7:18 p.m. Tuesday, police responded to the 1000 block of North Pearl Street and arrested Jarrin A. M. Smalley, 26, of Centralia on suspicion of second-degree burglary. Smalley allegedly was caught by police as he was using a bolt cutter to break into a fenced area.

 

Sleeping Man Allegedly Had Meth Pipe in Lap

• At 9:55 p.m. Tuesday, police responded to the 700 block of Harrison Avenue and arrested Frederic J. Lee, 43, of Chehalis on suspicion of possession of meth. Lee was allegedly found asleep in a vehicle with a meth pipe in his lap.

 

LEWIS COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE

 

Deputies Arrest Assault Suspect

• At 3 a.m. Monday, deputies responded to the 200 block of Chehalis Valley Drive and arrested Stewart L. Donovin, 25, of Chehalis on suspicion of fourth-degree assault — domestic violence.

 

LEWIS COUNTY JAIL STATISTICS

• As of Wednesday morning, the Lewis County Jail had a total system population of 223 inmates, with 190 in general population, 31 in the work ethic and restitution center and two on work release. Of general population inmates, 159 were male and 31 were female and of WERC inmates, 25 were male and six were female. A total of 29 inmates were booked through contracts outside Lewis County.
