Sirens: Robbery Suspect Booked; Police Arrest One for Meth Possession, Two on Warrants; Person Seen Jumping in the Middle of Road

CENTRALIA POLICE DEPARTMENT

Two Referred for Alleged Drug Possession

• At 9:58 a.m. Wednesday, police responded to the 100 block of East High Street and referred a 38-year-old Chehalis resident and a 35-year-old Centralia resident to the Lewis County Prosecutor’s Office on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance. 

Hit and Run Suspect Arrested, Released

• At 6:17 p.m. Wednesday, police responded to Harrison Avenue and First Street and arrested and released a 38-year-old Centralia resident on suspicion of hit and run.

Police Investigate Vehicle in Ditch

• At 6:19 p.m. Wednesday, police responded to the 700 block of North Gold Street, where a damaged vehicle was found abandoned in a ditch.

Police Investigate Burglary

• At 2:39 a.m. Thursday, police responded to a residence in the 1700 block of Military Road, where the homeowner reported the front door had been kicked open and a window broken. Several power tools were stolen.

Person Booked on Suspicion of Meth Possession

• At 9:36 a.m. Thursday, police responded to the 1600 block of Oxford Avenue and arrested Daniel J. Beckwith, 41, of Winlock on suspicion of possession of meth.

Robbery Suspect Booked

• At 10:04 a.m. Thursday, police responded to the 500 block of South Tower Avenue and arrested Raymond D. Faure, 38, of Pe Ell on suspicion of second-degree robbery. Faure allegedly shoplifted from a local store and used force to retain the stolen property. 

Collision Causes Injury

• At 1:30 p.m. Thursday, a two-vehicle collision with injuries was reported at Yew and Pear streets. The at-fault driver was issued an infraction.

Police Arrest One for Meth Possession, Two on Warrants

• At 3:04 a.m. Friday, police responded to the 1100 block of Harrison Avenue and arrested Robert W. Puckett, 60, of Centralia on suspicion of possession of meth. Officers also arrested Deonna A. Williams, 31, and Kiya L. Kenney, 30, both of Centralia, on outstanding Department of Corrections felony warrants.

 

CHEHALIS POLICE DEPARTMENT

Theft

• At 7:44 a.m. Wednesday, a theft of clothing was reported in the 1300 block of Northwest State Avenue. The caller reported a female suspect was seen leaving the area.

Police Investigate Possible DUI

• At 10:51 a.m. Wednesday, police responded to National Avenue and Chamber of Commerce Way, where a possibly drunk driver was transported to Providence Centralia Hospital. Charges are pending the results of a blood test.

Hit and Run

• At 6:50 p.m. Wednesday, a hit and run was reported in the 1700 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue. 

Person Seen Jumping in the Middle of Road

• At 3:28 p.m. Thursday, a caller in the 1700 block of North National Avenue reported a woman was jumping in the middle of the road.

Assault Reported

• At 9:07 p.m. Thursday, an assault was reported in the 10 block of Southwest Fourth Street. The report is under investigation.

LEWIS COUNTY JAIL STATISTICS

• As of Friday morning, the Lewis County Jail had a total system population of 237 inmates, with 206 in general population, 30 in the Work Ethic and Restitution Center and one on work release. Of general population inmates, 166 were men and 40 were women and of WERC inmates, 26 were men and four were women. A total of 27 inmates were booked through contracts outside Lewis County.
