CENTRALIA POLICE DEPARTMENT

Vehicle Prowl Reported

• At 9 a.m. Friday, a theft of food products and a handcart was reported from a semi-trailer in the 1000 block of Eckerson Road. 

Criminal Trespass Suspect Booked

• At 10:06 a.m. Friday, police responded to the 1000 block of Eckerson Road and arrested Shannon K. Kilgore, 49, of Centralia on suspicion of criminal trespassing. 

Hit and Runs

• At 12:38 p.m. Friday, police responded to the 1500 block of South Gold Street for a hit and run.

• At 3:47 p.m. Saturday, police responded to the 1100 block of Harrison Avenue for a hit and run.

Man Booked on Meth Possession Charge

• At 12:52 p.m. Friday, police responded to the 1100 block of Harrison Avenue and arrested Allen G. Dunlap, 40, of Kent on suspicion of possession of meth.  

Man Booked on Violation of Protective Order Charge

• At 7:06 p.m. Friday, police responded to the 900 block of North Tower Avenue and arrested James W. Lowther, 40, of Centralia on suspicion of violating a no-contact order.

Thefts

• At 3:33 p.m. Friday, a theft of a bicycle was reported in the 200 block of M Street.

• At 9:19 p.m. Friday, a theft of a bottle of alcohol was reported in the 1200 block of Harrison Avenue.

• At 7:29 a.m. Saturday, a theft of a ladder rack and packages was reported in the 1300 block of Delaware Avenue.

• At 12:58 p.m. Sunday, a theft of a water pump was reported in the 400 block of Harrison Avenue.

Car Plows Through Fence

• At 6:40 p.m. Saturday, police were dispatched to the 1200 block of North Pearl Street after a driver lost traction on a wet roadway and drove through a fence. The driver was issued a notice of infraction.

Man Booked for Title Transfer Violation

• At 7:26 p.m. Saturday, officers responded to the 1200 block of Harrison Avenue and arrested Bradley G. Dubay, 24, of Centralia on suspicion of failure to transfer title within 45 days and Justin M. Dubay, 23, of Centralia on a Lewis County Superior Court warrant and a Centralia Municipal Court warrant.

Restaurant Reports Three Dine-and-Dashers

• At 8:13 p.m. Saturday, police were notified that in a restaurant in the 700 block of Harrison Avenue two males and one female left without paying their bill.

Stolen Vehicle Recovered Following Crash

• At 9:55 p.m. Saturday, police located a stolen car in the 500 block of North Gold Street. The car had been involved in some sort of one-vehicle crash and was abandoned. It was returned to its owner.

DUI Suspected Arrested

• At 10:49 p.m. Saturday, police responded to the 500 block of North Gold Street and arrested Abigale A. Chapin, 19, of Centralia on suspicion of driving under the influence.

Suspects Booked on Assault Charges

• At 12:59 a.m. Saturday, police responded to the 1400 block of West Main Street and arrested Kevin G. Blosser, 37, of Centralia on suspicion of fourth-degree assault — domestic violence.

• At 1:11 a.m. Sunday, police were dispatched to the 1000 block of Centralia Avenue and arrested Gary W. Akers, 63, of Centralia on suspicion of fourth-degree assault.

• At 11:57 a.m. Sunday, police were dispatched to the 300 block of Lowe Street and arrested Chase P. Underhill, 25, of Chehalis, on suspicion of third-degree assault.

Stolen Vehicle, Gun Recovered

• At 12:02 p.m. Sunday, police recovered a vehicle listed as stolen out of Des Moines in a business parking lot in the 1000 block of Harrison Avenue. A stolen gun and other stolen property were recovered inside the vehicle. 

Car Hits House

• At 5:27 a.m. Monday, a car crashed into a house in the 600 block of Yew Street. Police believe the driver may have suffered from a medical condition, and was transported to Providence Centralia Hospital for treatment.

Juveniles Throw Apples, Damage Bird Feeder

• At 6:31 a.m. Monday, police were notified of a group of juveniles in the 1800 block of North Pearl Street throwing apples at businesses. At some point, a birdfeeder was damaged.

Caller Reports ‘Suspicious’ Vehicle in Backyard

• At 7:35 a.m. Friday, a caller in the 300 block of 14th Street advised a suspicious pickup truck was parked in her backyard.

Loiterer ‘Pretends’ He Can’t Speak

• At 10:37 a.m. Friday, a caller in the 1100 block of South Market Boulevard said a male was loitering near a storefront, making customers uncomfortable. When confronted, he began “pretending that he doesn’t speak.”

Man Does Meth in Public

• At 12:33 p.m. Friday, police were dispatched to the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue on a report of a male in a grassy area using meth.

Assault Reported

• At 3:32 p.m. Friday, police were informed of an assault that occurred the night prior in the 500 block of Southeast Washington Avenue.

Four Suspects Hang Out in Bus Shelter with Open Container

• At 6:44 p.m. Friday, police were advised of a group consisting of three males and one female that had occupied the bus shelter in the 1600 block of Northeast Louisiana Avenue for most of the day. The caller advised they had an open container, and they had “cussed out” a driver.

Female Seen Laying Along Roadway

• At 10:16 p.m. Friday, police were dispatched to the 700 block of Northwest Pennsylvania Avenue after a caller said a woman was laying in the grass between the sidewalk and the roadway.

Fight Reported

• At 12:02 a.m. Saturday, police were dispatched to the intersection of Chamber of Commerce Way and Louisiana Avenue in response to a physical altercation between two males, with a third person trying to break it up.

Water Emerges from Sidewalk

• At 8:37 a.m. Saturday, possible pipe breakage was reported at the intersection of Fifth Street and McFadden Avenue, after two callers advised of water emerging underground from a sidewalk.

Theft Suspect Booked

• At 4:01 p.m. Saturday, police responded to the 1700 block of North National Avenue and arrested Ryan C. Ball, 24, of Chehalis on suspicion of third-degree theft.

 Hit and Run Reported

• At 12:30 a.m. Sunday, a hit and run was reported at the intersection of Northwest West Street and Pennsylvania Avenue.

Assault Suspect Cited and Released

• At 10:12 a.m. Sunday, police responded to Southwest Chehalis Avenue and cited Shaun P. Reese, 34, of Centralia on suspicion of fourth-degree assault.

Thefts

• At 12:39 p.m. Sunday, a theft of a cellphone was reported in the 1700 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue.

• At 7:40 p.m. Sunday, a theft of a purse was reported in the 1700 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue. 

Vehicle Prowl Reported

• At 11:46 p.m. Sunday, a vehicle prowl was reported in the 700 block of Northwest Liberty Place.

LEWIS COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE 

Caller Believed They Heard Footsteps Inside House

• At 10:03 p.m. Friday, a caller in the 1500 block of Middle Fork Road reported they thought they heard footsteps in their house and saw a truck in the area.

82-Year-Old Berry Picker Missing

• At 7:26 p.m. Sunday, an 82-year-old Yakima resident was reported missing on Forest Service Road 45 in Packwood after going berry picking. Packwood Search and Rescue conducted a search until dark, and searches were ongoing into Monday.

LEWIS COUNTY JAIL STATISTICS

• As of Monday morning, the Lewis County Jail had a total system population of 231 inmates, with 198 in general population, 32 in the Work Ethic and Restitution Center and one on work release. Of general population inmates, 164 were male and 34 were female and of WERC inmates, 29 were male and three were female. A total of 39 inmates were booked through contracts with agencies outside Lewis County.
