Bicycle Reported Stolen

• At 11:36 a.m. Thursday, a bicycle was reported stolen in the 200 block of North King Street.

Shoplifter Arrested on Harrison Avenue

• Shannan R. Haythorn, 46, of Centralia, was arrested and released at 12:16 p.m. Thursday on suspicion of shoplifting in the 1100 block of Harrison Avenue.

 

Chehalis Police Department

Vehicle Prowl Reported 

• At 6:35 p.m. on Thursday, a caller reported a vehicle prowl in the 1600 block of Louisiana Avenue.

Woman Reports Possible Stalking

• At 8:57 a.m. on Wednesday, a woman in the 200 block of Northwest Chehalis Avenue reported she thought someone was stalking her. No arrests were made.

Caller Reports Erratic Driver

• At 11:54 p.m. on Wednesday, a caller in the 1000 block of Northwest West Street reported someone in a Ford Windstar van was driving erratically.

Man Arrested for Harassment After Threats

• Ray S. Hoover, 48, of Toledo, was arrested on suspicion of felony harassment at 2:24 a.m. Friday at an RV park in the 400 block of state Route 506 in Toledo. According to the Lewis County Sheriff’s Office, Hoover and a 68-year-old man were having a verbal dispute about Hoover’s dog running loose when the older man said he was going to call 911. Hoover then allegedly threatened to cut the other man’s throat. He then drove his car in the direction of the older man, damaging a driveway. 

Man Arrested After Damaging Girlfriend’s Car

• Clay A. Core, 50, of Centralia, was arrested at 12:15 p.m. Friday in the 100 block of Battle Ridge Road in Centralia on suspicion of second-degree malicious mischief, domestic violence, after allegedly kicking the doors of his girlfriend’s 2014 Chevrolet Camaro. The damage is estimated at $1,500. Core has also been referred to the Lewis County Prosecutor’s Office for fourth-degree assault domestic violence charges.

$5,000 Wedding Ring Stolen, Suspect Sought

• At 6:34 p.m. on Thursday, a 47-year-old Chehalis woman reported a wedding ring valued at $5,000 was stolen in the 800 block of Logan Hill Road in Chehalis. The woman told deputies from the Lewis County Sheriff’s Office that her 18-year-old daughter admitted to taking the ring and selling it for $120. The woman was able to get her ring back. Deputies are looking for the 18 year old, who they plan to arrest on suspicion of first-degree theft.

Jail Inmate Damages Sprinkler

• Michael S. Aykens, 37, of Port Orchard, an inmate at the Lewis County Jail, was booked on malicious mischief charges Wednesday after allegedly damaging a fire sprinkler. Aykens is accused of damaging the sprinkler at about 6 p.m. According to the sheriff’s office, Aykens told officers he needed a shower and decided to “pop the sprinkler head.”

Items Reported Stolen from Lone Yew Cemetery

• At 10:25 a.m. Tuesday, a person reported a theft from a gravesite a Lone Yew Cemetery on Eden Road in Toledo. Solar lights, angel statues and a flower rack were reported stolen. 

Chehalis Man Booked for Assault

• Richard L. Nisbet, 53, of Chehalis, was arrested at 10:46 a.m. Tuesday in the 100 block of Elm View Avenue in Chehalis on suspicion of domestic violence assault in the fourth degree and resisting arrest.
