Sirens: Police Investigate Reported Assault; Vehicle Drives Through Fence, Driver Arrested

CENTRALIA POLICE DEPARTMENT

Thefts

• At 6:45 p.m. Wednesday, a theft of packages was reported in the 2200 block of Cooks Hill Road.

• At 12:22 p.m. Thursday, a theft of items was reported in the 1600 block of Harrison Avenue.

 

 Police Arrest Theft Suspect

• At 10:11 a.m. Wednesday, police responded to the 1200 block of Harrison Avenue and arrested Matthew R. Horton Jr., 34, of Centralia on suspicion of trafficking in stolen property. Horton allegedly tried to sell stolen tires.

 

Suspects Booked on Meth Charge

• At 8:27 a.m. Wednesday, police responded to the 600 block of South Tower Avenue and arrested Rodolfo Romo, 36, of Centralia on suspicion of possession of meth and possession of marijuana over 40 grams.

• At 1:06 p.m. Wednesday, police responded to the 100 block of South Silver Street and arrested Joshua T. Irons, 25, of Centralia on suspicion of possession of meth.

 

Police Investigate

Reported Assault

• At 6 p.m. Wednesday, police were notified of a possible domestic violence situation in the 1000 block of West Main Street.

 

Burglary

• At 6:36 a.m. Thursday, a burglary was reported in the 100 block of East High Street.

 

Suspects Booked on Drug Possession

• At 10:34 a.m. Thursday, police responded to the 800 block of South Tower Avenue and arrested Marcus J. Inman, 29, of Centralia and Felicia M. Segerman, 22, of Centralia on suspicion of possession of meth.

 

Vehicle Drives Through Fence, Driver Arrested

• At 11:38 p.m. Thursday, police responded to the 1100 block of Creekside Drive to a crash scene. A vehicle went off the road and went through a fence. The driver allegedly fled and was found trying to hide on a neighbor’s roof. Police arrested Jesse C. Quarles, 34, of Lacey on suspicion of driving under the influence and hit and run.

 

Man Arrested, Released for Alleged Assault

• At 5:30 a.m. Friday, police responded to the 900 block of South Scheuber Road and arrested and released a 28-year-old Napavine man on suspicion of fourth-degree assault. The man allegedly assaulted a security guard.

CHEHALIS POLICE DEPARTMENT

Theft

• At 9:42 a.m. Thursday, a shoplift was reported in the 1100 block of South Market Boulevard.

 

Man Booked on Indecent Exposure, Hit and Run

• At 11:06 a.m. Thursday, police responded to the 1300 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue and arrested Sean C. Morgan, 31, of Centralia on suspicion of hit and run, driving with a suspended license and indecent exposure. Morgan allegedly exposed himself in a store, left the area, was later involved in a hit and run and was arrested by officers after getting into a verbal altercation with a woman.

 

Police Investigate Assault Among Juveniles

• At 4:33 p.m. Thursday, police responded to the 300 block of Southwest Third Street on a report of one juvenile punching another in the face.

 

Vehicle Prowl

• At 2:46 p.m. Thursday, a vehicle prowl was reported in the 1100 block of Northwest Cedar Way.

 

Drunk Man Makes Threats

• At 6:37 p.m. Thursday, police responded to the 500 block of Southwest McFadden Avenue, where a drunk man was allegedly making threats.

 

LEWIS COUNTY JAIL STATISTICS

• As of Friday morning, the Lewis County Jail had a total system population of 214 inmates, with 183 in general population, 29 in the work ethic and restitution center and two on work release. Of general population inmates, 152 were male and 31 were female and of WERC inmates, 25 were male and four were female. A total of 45 inmates were booked through contracts outside Lewis County.
