Sirens: Person Harasses Girl on Way to School; Police Investigate Craigslist Scam

CENTRALIA POLICE DEPARTMENT

Suspect Booked for Suspended License

• At 5:38 p.m. Wednesday, police responded to the 1200 block of Mellen Street and arrested Rodolfo Romo, 36, of Centralia, on suspicion of driving on a suspended license.

 

Vehicle Prowl

• At 5:58 p.m. Wednesday, several vehicle prowls were reported in the 100 block of Virginia Drive. Someone stole a Nintendo Switch, vehicle keys and miscellaneous items.

 

Police Investigate Craigslist Scam

• At 6:07 p.m. Wednesday, police responded to the 900 block of G Street where they learned someone sent a suspect money to pay for a rent deposit on a house listed on Craigslist. The victim learned later that the house wasn’t supposed to be listed on Craigslist.

 

Vehicle Thefts

• At 8:08 a.m. Thursday, a theft of a black 2005 Chevrolet Silverado was reported in the 1100 block of Kresky Avenue.

• At 8:53 a.m. Thursday, a theft of a grey 2005 Ford F350 was reported in the 200 block of West Main Street.

 

Driver Booked on Suspended License, Warrant

• At 9:41 a.m. Thursday, police responded to the 200 block of Yew Street and arrested Michael C. Mitchell, 40, of Onalaska, on suspicion of third-degree driving on a suspended license and on a misdemeanor warrant.

Burglary

• At 2:40 p.m. Thursday, a burglary was reported in the 1300 block of Harrison Avenue. Someone entered a residence and stole a ring sometime during the night.

 

Trespass Suspect Arrested

• At 4:14 p.m. Thursday, police responded to the 1000 block of Eckerson Road and arrested Ronald L. Zaske, 65, of Centralia, on suspicion of first-degree criminal trespass.

 

Theft

• At 4:32 p.m. Thursday, a theft of a single bottle of beer was reported at a business in the 1200 block of Harrison Avenue.

 

Suspect Booked on Heroin Possession

• At 2:47 a.m. Friday, police responded to the 900 block of Harrison Avenue and arrested Kristan K. Ramirez, 32, of Shelton, on suspicion of possession of heroin.

 

CHEHALIS POLICE DEPARTMENT

Theft

• At 5:20 p.m. Wednesday, a theft of a 55-inch TV was reported in the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue.

 

Assault Suspects Booked

• At 12:02 a.m. Thursday, police responded to the 10 block of Southeast Spring Street and arrested Adam L. Miller, 34, of Chehalis, on suspicion of fourth-degree assault — domestic violence.

• At 3:17 p.m. Thursday, police responded to the 500 block of Southeast Adams Avenue and arrested Richard M. Cunningham, 39, of Bellingham, on suspicion of fourth-degree assault.

 

Person Harasses Girl on Way to School

• At 9:35 a.m. Thursday, police were notified someone was harassing a girl on her way to school, and was possibly taking video of her.

 

Police Arrest Theft Suspect

• At 1:36 p.m. Thursday, police responded to the 600 block of West Main Street and arrested William J. Coe, 38, of Centralia, on suspicion of third-degree theft.

 

DUI Suspect Booked

• At 6:26 p.m. Thursday, police responded to the 300 block of Southeast Crestview Drive and arrested Sterling D. Breen, 74, of Chehalis, on suspicion of driving under the influence.

 

LEWIS COUNTY JAIL STATISTICS

• As of Friday morning, the Lewis County Jail had a total system population of 206 inmates, with 172 in general population, 32 in the work ethic and restitution center and two on work release. Of general population inmates, 143 were male and 29 were female and of WERC inmates, 28 were male and four were female. A total of 48 inmates were booked through contracts outside Lewis County.
