Sirens: Parent of Student Reports Pornography; Subject Spotted ‘Sniffing Fumes’; Three Booked on Organized Retail Theft Charge

Parent of Student Reports Pornography

• At 12:08 p.m. Friday, a person reported a male student in the 300 block of Southwest 16th Street sent his 16-year-old daughter a video with pornographic content. No arrests were made. 

 

Subject Spotted ‘Sniffing Fumes’

• At 1:03 p.m. on Friday, police received a report of an intoxicated person in the 200 block of Northwest Chehalis Avenue. A man was reportedly sitting on a staircase “sniffing fumes” from a bottle of compressed air. Jarrin A. Smalley, 27, of Centralia, was cited on suspicion of possession of toxic fumes. 

 

Custodial Assault Reported at Green Hill

• At 1:47 p.m. on Friday, police received a report of an assault on staff by an inmate at Green Hill School in the 300 block of Southwest 11th Street. The incident reportedly happened on Sept. 8. Chehalis police have recommended a charge of custodial assault against inmate Clayton J. Boring, 18, of Chehalis.

 

Victim Reports Money Stolen Through Social Media

• At 2 p.m. on Friday, a person in Chehalis reported a theft of money through facebook the previous day. 

 

Trespassers Reported

• At 12:06 a.m. on Saturday, a trespasser was reported in the 300 block of Northwest Chehalis Avenue.

• At 7:44 p.m on Sunday, police received a report that teenagers were trespassing in the 400 block of North Market Boulevard.

• At 6:03 a.m. on Monday a trespasser was reported in the 1200 block of Bishop Road.

Police Investigate Dispute Between Juveniles

• At 8:39 a.m. on Friday, a dispute between several juveniles was reported in the 500 block of Richmond Avenue in Centralia. The incident is under investigation. 

 

Package Stolen

• At 12:48 p.m. on Friday, a package was reported stolen in the 1000 block of Ham Hill Road. 

 

Vehicle Prowl

• At 7:03 p.m. on Friday, a TV and Xbox were reported stolen from a vehicle in Riverside Park in the 300 block of Lowe Street. 

 

Vehicle, Cash Stolen 

• At 8:39 p.m. on Saturday, a person in the 1100 block of North Washington Avenue reported their vehicle was taken without permission and cash was stolen from their residence. 

 

Centralia Man Booked on Warrant, Cocaine Possession

• At 10:58 a.m. on Sunday, police responded to the 1100 block of Scammon Creek Road and arrested Ricardo Sanchez Villagran, 34, of Centralia, on suspicion of possession of cocaine and for an outstanding King County warrant.

 

Three Booked on Organized Retail Theft Charge

• At 1:59 p.m. on Sunday, police responded to the 1300 block of Lum Road and arrested Matthew J. Moravetz, 30, of New Mexico, Madni Quintana, 31, of New Mexico and Pierce Anderson, 28, of Issaquah, on suspicion of organized retail theft and possession of methamphetamine. Officers had responded to a report of thefts from multiple businesses. 

 

Collector Coins Stolen

• At 6:11 p.m. on Sunday, collector coins were reported stolen from a residence in the 2800 block of Russell Road. The case is under investigation. 

 

Lewis County Jail Population

As of Monday morning, the Lewis County Jail had a total system population of 241 inmates including 200 in general population, 37 in the Work Ethic and Restitution Center and four on work release. Of general population inmates, 162 were male and 38 female and of WERC inmates, 33 were male and four female. Three inmates were booked through contracts with agencies outside Lewis County.
