Rochester Driver Arrested for DUI After Crash

• Christopher R. Russell, 26, of Rochester, was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence after a crash Friday night in the 400 block of Independence Road in Rochester, according to the sheriff’s office. At about 11 p.m. Saturday, Russell’s 1979 GMC Sierra went off the road and rolled. The truck was totaled.  

Man Referred for Charges After Threat with Pellet Gun

• Ronald L. Chadderton, 66, of Toledo, is being referred to the Lewis County Prosecutor’s Office for a felony harassment charge after he allegedly threatened a neighbor with a pellet gun Friday. At 3:57 p.m. on Friday, the sheriff’s office received a report of a dispute with a firearm in the 400 block of state Route 506 in Toledo. Deputies responded, and learned that Chadderton and his 68-year-old neighbor had a dispute over loud music. Chadderton allegedly pointed a pellet rifle at the neighbor. According to the sheriff’s office, the neighbor thought it was a real rifle and feared for his life. Deputies arrested Chadderton and transported him to Providence Centralia. Due to medical issues, Chadderton was not booked into the Lewis County Jail.

 

Chehalis Police Department

Possible Harassment Reported

• At 10:22 a.m. on Friday, police received a report of harassment in a workplace in the 1000 block of Northeast Kresky Avenue.

Credit Card Taken in Vehicle Prowl

• At 12:06 p.m. on Friday, a vehicle prowl was reported in the 1000 block of South Market Boulevard. A credit card and wallet were reported stolen.

No Arrests After Report of Fight

• At 4:17 p.m. on Friday, a fight was reported between two to three people in the 100 block of Southwest Fifth Street. No arrests were made. 

Shoplifter Reported, No Arrest Made

• At 4:53 p.m. on Saturday, a theft was reported in the 500 block of South Market Boulevard. A person reportedly shoplifted a flashlight.

One Arrested on Assault Charge

• Lupe G. Mendez, 24, of Chehalis, was arrested at 9:02 p.m. Saturday in the 200 block of Southwest Cascade Avenue on suspicion of fourth-degree assault. 

Officers Respond to Noise Complaint, Find Person with Head Injury

• At 10:20 p.m. on Saturday, officers responded to complaints of loud noises coming from a residence in the 700 block of Southwest McFadden Avenue. Officers found a man with a head injury. The man would not tell officers how he was hurt, according to the Chehalis Police Department. 

Teen Arrested After Reported Assault

• A 17-year-old girl from Pe Ell was arrested on suspicion of fourth-degree assault, domestic violence, after a disturbance with a family member at 10:49 a.m. Sunday in the 600 block of Southeast Dobson Court in Chehalis. 

Two Arrested on Drug Possession Charges

• Kristina L. Craighead, 53, of Centralia, was arrested at 4:41 p.m. Sunday in the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue on suspicion of possession of meth. 

• Steven M. Mullins, 33, of Centralia, was arrested at 7:04 p.m. on Sunday, in the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue on suspicion of possession of a synthetic drug. 

Purse Stolen Out of Shopping Cart

• At 8:31 p.m. on Sunday, a purse was reported stolen out of a shopping cart in the 1600 block of Louisiana Avenue.

Caller Reports Drug House

• At 12:38 a.m. on Monday, police received a report of a drug house in the 500 block of South Market Boulevard. A caller reported more than 30 people in the area and needles all over the place.

Rape Reported, No Arrests Made

• At 1:11 a.m. on Monday, a rape was reported in the 500 block of Southwest McFadden Avenue. The Chehalis Police Department is investigating the report. A suspect has been identified. 

 

Centralia Police Department

Vehicles Stolen

• At 12:45 p.m. on Friday, a gray 2004 Yamaha 400 motorcycle was reported stolen in the 1200 block of Windsor Avenue.

• At 7:13 a.m. on Saturday, a green 1997 Acura Integra was reported stolen overnight in the 700 block of G Street.

Clothing, Makeup Taken

• At 3:29 p.m. on Friday, police received a report of clothing stolen in the 1300 block of Lum Road.

• At 3:32 p.m. on Friday, police received a report of makeup stolen in the 1200 block of Harrison Avenue.

Thief Takes Cellphone Cases

• At 4:41 p.m. on Saturday, cellphone cases were reported stolen in the 1200 block of Lum Road.

Accused Thief Arrested

• Corey D. Jaggers, 27, of Tacoma, was arrested at 6:40 p.m. Saturday on suspicion of third-degree theft in the 1300 block of Lum Road.

Compressor Taken

• At 1:06 p.m. on Sunday, a compressor was reported stolen in the 200 block of East Plum Street.

Stereo Stolen

• At 4:50 p.m. on Sunday, a stereo was reported stolen from an unlocked vehicle in the 900 block of F Street.

Three Arrested on Burglary Charge

• Daniel C. Miller, 25, of Chehalis, Panther W. Risling, 26, of Centralia, and Brian L. Friend, 36, of Vancouver, Washington, were arrested on suspicion of second-degree burglary at 10:11 p.m. Sunday in the 1000 block of Eckerson Road. A Centralia police officer detained the trio in a motel room after one of the suspects was seen climbing through a window. Friend was not charged. Risling and Miller were charged with possession of methamphetamine, rather than burglary.

Theft From Yard Reported

• At 2 p.m. on Monday, police received a report of a wrought-iron bench being stolen from a yard in the 300 block of Jefferson Street. 

Woman Arrested on Harassment Charge

• Kandise A. Hickox, 30, of Centralia, was arrested at 7:07 p.m. on Monday in the 500 block of West Chestnut Street on suspicion of harassment after allegedly threatening another woman.

Police Issue Summons on Assault Charge

• At 9:50 p.m. on Monday, police responded to reports of a fight between a husband and wife in the 2100 block of North Pearl Street. Police issued Martinio J. Arias, a summons to appear in court on suspicion of fourth-degree assault.

 

Morton/Mossyrock

Officers Respond to Reported Dispute, Find Women ‘Role Playing’

• At 6:23 p.m. on Wednesday, officers responded to a possible dispute in the 400 block of Knittles Way in Morton. Officers found two woman “role-playing,” according to the Morton Police Department. No dispute took place.

Officers Respond to Report of Fight

• At 11:46 p.m. on Friday, officers responded to a report of a fight involving several people in the 100 block of Main Avenue in Morton. All of the people involved in the fight left before officers arrived.

Man Arrested for Weapon Possession

• Anthony Westmoreland, 26, of Mossyrock, was arrested at 10:32 p.m. on Friday on suspicion of criminal trespass, possession of a dangerous weapon and for an outstanding warrant.
