Man Seen Engaging in Lewd Act in Public

• At 8:59 a.m. Wednesday, police were dispatched the intersection of Chamber Way and Louisiana Avenue on a call of a male subject engaging in a lewd act outside. No arrests were reported.

Caller Hears Screaming

• At 9:53 a.m. Wednesday, a caller in the 1200 block of Southwest William Avenue reported hearing screaming, yelling and the sound of something being thrown against the wall.

Male Seen Hitting Dog

• At 11:18 a.m. Wednesday, a caller reported seeing a male hitting a dog in the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue. The male also threw the dog to the ground, the caller said, while a second dog was cowering.

Vehicle Forcibly Stolen in Walmart Parking Lot

• At 1:51 a.m. Thursday, police responded to the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue on a call about a vehicle being forcibly stolen in the Walmart parking lot 

Person Claims Suspect Pulled a Gun

• At 5:55 a.m. Thursday, a caller in the 800 block of West Main Street said a person claimed to them that a suspect just threatened them with a gun.

Two Men Load Landscaping Rocks into Sacks

• At 9:09 a.m. Thursday, police were notified of two men loading up large rocks, that were just laid down for landscaping, into gunny sacks in the 1200 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue.

Suspect Passes Counterfeit Bill

• At 3:33 p.m. Thursday, police were dispatched to the 700 block of South Market Boulevard after a woman paid with a counterfeit $100 bill.

 Male Punches Self in Face

• At 7:02 a.m. Friday, police were dispatched to First and Washington streets on a call about a man punching himself in the face. The caller was concerned, because kids would be congregating in the area soon to get on a school bus. 

CENTRALIA POLICE DEPARTMENT

Garage Door Lock Found Broken

• At 4:19 p.m. Wednesday, a caller in the 1400 block of South Gold Street reported finding a lock on a garage door broken, but nothing missing inside.

Drivers Cited for Suspended Licenses

• At 12:51 p.m. Wednesday, police responded to the 1200 block of Belmont Avenue and cited Candi M. Martel-Gomez, 32, of Rainer on suspicion of third-degree driving with a suspended license.

• At 2:13 a.m. Thursday, police responded to the 300 block of East Pine Street and cited Richard A. Molina, 39, of Centralia on suspicion of third-degree driving with a suspended license.

 

Domestic Violence Suspect Booked on Warrant

• At 2:23 p.m. Wednesday, police responded to the 100 block of West Maple Street and arrested Brian M. Raappana, 27, of Centralia on a warrant for fourth-degree assault — domestic violence 

Suspect Booked on Interfering With Health Care Facility Charge

• At 8:19 p.m. Wednesday, police responded to the 900 block of Scheuber Road and arrested Mario S. Rodriguez, 25, of Chehalis, on suspicion of interfering with a health care facility.

Bicycle Stolen

• At 3:53 a.m. Thursday, a theft of a blue hybrid bicycle was reported in the 1300 block of North Scheuber Road.

Vehicle Owner Reports Finding Intentional Damage

• At 7:37 a.m. Thursday, a caller in the 300 block of South Tower Street reported their vehicle’s gas filler tube was damaged by an unknown suspect.

LEWIS COUNTY JAIL STATISTICS

• As of Friday morning, the Lewis County Jail had a total system population of 203 inmates, with 168 in general population, 35 in the Work Ethic and Restitution Center and three in work release. Of general population inmates, 138 were male and 30 were female and of WERC inmates, 30 were male and five were female. A total of 34 inmates were booked through contracts outside Lewis County.
