Sirens: Man Hangs Onto Car During Attempted Theft; Bottle Thrown at Van

Thefts

• At 3:49 p.m. Monday, a shoplifter reportedly took unspecified items from a business in the 1300 block of Lum Road.

• At 12:03 p.m. Tuesday, a theft of furniture items was reported in the 1400 block of South Gold Street.

 

Disorderly Suspect Arrested

• At 5:22 p.m. Monday, police responded to the 100 block of South Tower Avenue and arrested John A. Chacon II, 40, of Centralia on suspicion of harassment and disorderly conduct.

 

Assault Suspect Booked

• At 3:41 a.m. Tuesday, police responded to the 1400 block of West Main Street and arrested Diana Frias, 38, of Centralia on suspicion of fourth-degree assault.

 

Assault Suspect Booked

• At 10:28 a.m. Tuesday, police responded to the 900 block of Johnson Road and arrested Noah A. Arnold, 18, of Centralia on suspicion of fourth-degree assault — domestic violence.

 

Suspect Booked on Meth Possession

• At 3:34 p.m. Tuesday, police responded to South Scheuber Road and Cooks Hill Road and arrested Cyrus J. Robinson, 40, of Centralia on suspicion of possession of meth and on an outstanding misdemeanor warrant.

 

Vehicle Prowl

• At 12:11 a.m. Wednesday, a vehicle prowl was reported in the 100 block of Virginia Drive. An unknown suspect was spotted trying to gain entry in several unattended vehicles.

Man Hangs Onto Car During Attempted Theft

At 7:47 a.m. Monday, police responded to the 10 block of North Market Boulevard and arrested Jason R. Angell, 32, of Chehalis on suspicion of attempted vehicle theft. Angell allegedly tried to steal a car with the owner still in it. The owner started to drive away, with Angell still hanging onto the vehicle for a distance.

 

Suspect Throws Glass Into Car Lot

• At 10:40 a.m. Monday, a caller in the 1600 block of North National Avenue reported someone threw glass into a car lot overnight.

 

Person Breaks Out Car’s Windshield

• At 4:35 p.m. Monday, police were alerted someone was breaking out the front windshield of a car in the 700 block of Northwest St. Helens Avenue.

 

Fight Reported

• At 4:54 p.m. Monday, a caller in the 100 block of North Market Boulevard reported two female subjects were in a physical dispute.

Assault Suspect Booked

• At 1:05 a.m. Tuesday, police responded to the 1100 block of Southwest Cascade Avenue and arrested Danielle C. Reeves, 19, of Chehalis on suspicion of fourth-degree assault — domestic violence.

 

Caller Reports Harassment

• At 10:17 a.m. Tuesday, a caller in the 300 block of Northwest State Street reported a man was pounding on their windows.

 

Drug Use Reported

• At 11:26 a.m. Tuesday, a caller in the 1500 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue reported a man was on a street corner, surrounded by trash and using drugs.

 

Bottle Thrown at Van

• At 2:04 p.m. Tuesday, police were told someone threw a bottle at a van, causing dents and glass on the road.

 

Man Booked for Alleged Burglary

• At 6:19 p.m. Tuesday, police responded to the 600 block of Northwest Quincy Place and arrested Aaron W. Neldon, 51, of Chehalis on suspicion of residential burglary. Neldon was spotted coming out of a house that wasn’t his with a  pair of vehicle keys, police say.

 

LEWIS COUNTY JAIL STATISTICS

• As of Wednesday morning, the Lewis County Jail had a total system population of 211 inmates, with 178 in general population, 31 in the work ethic and restitution center and two on work release. Of general population inmates, 148 were male and 30 were female and of WERC inmates, 28 were male and three were female. A total of 49 inmates were booked through contracts outside Lewis County.
