Man Booked for Burglary for Using Shower

• At 7:40 a.m. on Friday, police responded to the 300 block of South Silver Street and arrested Jacob S. Drury, 24, a transient, on suspicion of second-degree burglary. Drury allegedly broke into a house, stole bathroom items and used the shower. Drury was later arrested on a second charge of violation of a domestic-violence no-contact order for being within 500 feet of a residence in the 400 block of West Pear Street that he was prohibited from being near. 

Police Investigate Sexual Misconduct

• At 10:13 a.m. on Friday, police received a report of indecent liberties in the 1400 block of Harrison Avenue. The report is under investigation. 

Money Stolen From Elderly Person

• At 10:25 a.m. on Friday, police received a report of a theft of funds from an elderly person in the 1500 block of Harrison Avenue. 

Cash Taken

• At 10:25 a.m. on Friday, police received a report of a theft of $5 in the 1500 block of Harrison Avenue. 

House’s Door Damaged

• At 10:57 a.m. on Friday, police received a report of malicious mischief in the 600 block of North Pearl Street. A front door of a vacant house was damaged. 

Juveniles Booked for Throwing Fellow Student’s Property Out Bus Window

• At 11:01 a.m. on Friday, police received a report of a first-degree theft in the 900 block of Johnson Road in Centralia. Three juvenile males were arrested after allegedly taking another juvenile’s property and throwing it out a school bus window. The property was not recovered. 

Trespassers Issued Summons

• At 6 p.m. on Friday, police responded to a report of trespassers in the 1100 block of Harrison Avenue. Two transients were issued summonses for first-degree criminal trespass for entering a business they were banned from entering. One of the suspects, Bailey Gallardo, 20, was arrested the following day at 2:24 p.m. at the same location on a Chehalis Municipal Court warrant and on suspicion of first-degree criminal trespass. 

Suspects Steal Bags of Merchandise

• At 6:13 p.m. on Friday, shoplifters were reported in the 1400 block of Lum Road in Centralia. Three suspects, two men and a woman, reportedly took bags of merchandise and fled. 

Shoplifter Takes Wallet

• At 3:47 p.m. on Friday, a suspect reportedly stole a wallet from a store in the 1300 block of Lum Road. 

Chehalis Police Department

Vehicles Stolen

• At 9:34 a.m. on Friday, a blue 2016 Jeep Patriot was reported stolen the previous day in the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue. 

• 10:50 a.m. on Friday, a 2005 Chevrolet Silverado with a “big ugly canopy” was reported stolen from the 1000 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue.  

Two Women Spotted ‘Passed Out’ in Vehicle

• At 10:23 a.m. on Friday, police received a report of suspicious circumstances in the 100 block of Southwest Interstate Avenue. Two women were reportedly spotted “passed out” in a Nissan truck.  

Trespassers Reported

• At 11:41 a.m. on Friday, a trespasser was reported in the 2100 block of North National Avenue.

• At 12:27 p.m. on Friday, a trespasser was reported in the 500 block of South Market Boulevard. 

• At 5:30 p.m. on Friday, a trespasser was reported in the 200 block of Northwest Chehalis Avenue. 

• At 11 a.m. on Sunday, a trespasser was reported in a vacant house in the 1400 block of Southwest William Avenue. A woman was reportedly squatting in the house. 

• At 2:39 p.m. on Sunday a trespasser was reported at a bus stop on Northeast Division Street. A man was reportedly belligerent and refused to leave. 

Disorderly, Drunk Patron Reported

• At 12:14 p.m. on Friday, police received a report of a disorderly, possibly drunk man at a Starbucks in the 1500 block of Northwest Louisiana. 

Group Caught Drinking at Bus Stop

• At 2:42 p.m. on Friday, police received a report of four men and a woman openly drinking alcohol at a bus stop at the intersection of Louisiana Avenue and Chamber of Commerce Way. 

Vehicle Vandalized

• At 8:18 a.m. on Saturday, malicious mischief was reported in the 100 block of Northeast Hampe Way. A vehicle was vandalized. 

Hit and Run

• At 2:49 p.m. on Saturday, a hit and run was reported in the 1400 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue. 

Assault Reported

• At 5:56 p.m. on Saturday, an assault was reported in the 1300 block of Northwest River Street.  

Man Threatens Child

• At 5:59 p.m. on Saturday, police received a report of a man making a threat to a child. A 14-year-old girl was reportedly looking at missing person posters in the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue when an elderly man asked her if she “would like to know what it feels like being a missing person,” according to police. No arrests were made. 

Suspected Eluder Arrested

• At 1 p.m. on Sunday, police responded to 500 block of Southwest Cascade Avenue for a traffic issue. Calvin C. Reece, 45, of Centralia, was later arrested on suspicion of eluding police, obstructing officers and resisting arrest. 

Burglary Reported

• At 10:59 a.m. on Sunday, a burglary was reported in the 2300 block of Northeast Kresky Avenue. Security video caught a suspect entering through a window and cutting cords to an alarm system. No arrests were made. 

Theft Reported

• At 11 a.m. on Sunday, a third-degree theft was reported in the 2100 block of North National Avenue.  

Police Arrest Suspect in Interrupted Burglary

• At 1:06 p.m. on Sunday, police responded to the 200 block of Southwest Second Street after a homeowner reported seeing someone in her shed. Adam T. Kay, 35, of Chehalis, was arrested on suspicion of criminal trespass. 

 Lewis County Jail Statistics

• As of Monday morning, the Lewis County Jail had a total system population of 233 inmates, with 199 in general population, 32 in the Work Ethic and Restitution Center and two on work release. Of general population inmates, 160 were male and 39 female and of WERC inmates, 28 were male and four female. A total of 28 inmates were booked through contracts outside Lewis County.
