Sirens: Juvenile Hits Pedestrian, Leaves Scene; Caller Finds Meth and Heroin

CENTRALIA POLICE DEPARTMENT

Juvenile Referred for Marijuana Possession

• At 9:32 a.m. Monday, police responded to the 800 block of Eshom Road and arrested and released a 15-year-old female juvenile on suspicion of possession of marijuana.

 

Thefts

• At 11:34 a.m. Monday, a theft of merchandise from a business was reported in the 1100 block of Harrison Avenue.

• At 12:35 p.m. Tuesday, a theft of cash was reported in the 1300 block of Alexander Street.

• At 4:43 p.m. Tuesday, a theft of a battery-operated leaf blower was reported in the 1300 block of View Avenue.

• At 5:06 p.m. Tuesday, a theft of a skateboard, bicycle and foot scooter was reported in the 1100 block of Grand Avenue.

 

Man Booked for Allegedly Violating Protection Order

• At 3:45 p.m. Monday, police responded to the 500 block of North Tower Avenue and arrested Mark W. Powell, 47, of Toledo on suspicion of violating a no contact order.

 

Suspect Arrested, Released For Driving on Suspended License

• At 4:02 p.m. Monday, police responded to Maple Street and Seminary Hill Road and arrested and released Michael A. Hill II, 42, of Kansas City, Missouri on suspicion of driving on a suspended license.

 

Juvenile Hits Pedestrian, Leaves Scene

• At 5:19 p.m. Tuesday, police responded to the intersection of Pearl and Locust streets and referred a 17-year-old female juvenile to the prosecutor’s office on suspicion of hit and run. The teen allegedly struck a pedestrian in a crosswalk and then drove away. She later called police and identified herself.

 

House’s Window Shattered

• At 6:36 p.m. Tuesday, a caller in the 500 block of South King Street reported someone broke out a window and tried to enter the house.

 

Olympia Man Booked on Meth Possession

• At 8:41 p.m. Tuesday, police responded to the 1200 block of Alder Street and arrested Vince P. Perazzo, 40, of Olympia on suspicion of possession of methamphetamine.

 

Police Arrest Assault Suspect

• At 10:07 p.m. Tuesday, police responded to the 200 block of South Diamond Street and arrested Jose A. Abrego-Membrano, 34, of Centralia on suspicion of fourth-degree assault — domestic violence.

 

Theft Suspect Arrested

•  At 12:53 a.m. Wednesday, police responded to the 1000 block of Belmont Avenue and arrested Michael G. Boone, 44, of Ashford on suspicion of third-degree theft and resisting arrest.

 

CHEHALIS POLICE DEPARTMENT

 

Caller Finds Meth and Heroin

• At 7:57 a.m. Monday, a caller in the 500 block of Southeast Washington Avenue reported finding a “measureable” amount of meth and heroin.

 

Shoplifted Arrested, Released

• At 2:35 p.m. Monday, police responded to the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue and arrested and released Trinity E. Lyon, 18, of Centralia on suspicion of third-degree theft.

 

Suspected Booked for Meth Possession

• At 3:01 p.m. Monday, police responded to the 100 block of Northeast Hampe Way and arrested Patrick M. Gish, 29, of Vader on suspicion of possession of methamphetamine.

 

Theft

• At 10:16 p.m. Tuesday, a theft of items from an apartment was reported in the 1500 block of North National Avenue.

 

LEWIS COUNTY JAIL STATISTICS

• As of Wednesday morning, the Lewis County Jail had a total system population of 227 inmates, with 193 in general population, 33 in the work ethic and restitution center and one on work release. Of general population inmates, 153 were male and 40 were female and of WERC inmates, 29 were male and four were female. A total of 37 inmates were booked through contracts outside Lewis County.
