Centralia Police Department 

Car Keyed

• At 10:03 a.m. on Wednesday, police received a report that a car was keyed in the 1200 block of St. Helens Street. 

Fraud Reported, Victim Loses $300

• At 10:15 a.m. on Wednesday, police received a report of fraud from the 1300 block of Harrison Avenue. The victim reported someone called him claiming to be from Amazon and requested access to his computer. The victim gave the person access and later found the unknown suspect took $300 from his bank account.  

Clothing Stolen

• At 11:24 a.m. on Wednesday, clothing items were reported stolen from the 1400 block of Lum Road.  

Juvenile Caught With Stolen Credit Card, Arrested

• At 11:45 a.m. on Wednesday, police responded to the 100 block of West High Street and arrested a juvenile on suspicion of using a stolen credit card. The juvenile was booked into Lewis County Juvenile Detention. 

Centralia Man Arrested on Assault Charges

• At 12:27 p.m. on Wednesday, police responded to the 200 block of West Oakview Avenue and arrested Jamie N. Gutierrez, 24, of Centralia, on suspicion of two counts of fourth-degree assault, domestic violence.

Stores Report Thefts

• At 4:09 p.m. on Wednesday, a theft was reported from a store in the 500 block of Harrison Avenue. 

• At 6:17 p.m. on Wednesday, a theft was reported at a store in the 1400 block of Lum Road. 

Vehicle Prowl

• At 4:43 p.m. on Wednesday, a vehicle prowl was reported in the 100 block of Virginia Drive in Centralia. 

Hit and Runs

• At 9:48 a.m. on Thursday, a hit and run was reported in the 900 block of West Main Street. 

• At 12:10 p.m. on Thursday, a hit and run was reported in the 200 block of West Main Street. 

• At 4:48 p.m. on Thursday, a hit and run was reported in the 500 block of Harrison Avenue. 

Shoplifter Accused of Felony Theft

• At 12:52 p.m. on Thursday, police received a report of a shoplifter in the 1300 block of Lum Road. The suspect reportedly took merchandise out of a store employee’s hands and fled the scene in a white Mitsubishi car with Oregon license plates. No arrests were reported. 

Teen Faces Indecent Exposure Charge After Sending Lewd Picture

• At 3:18 p.m. on Thursday, police received a report of indecent exposure from the 900 block of Johnson Road. A 13-year-old boy was accused of emailing a photo of him exposing himself to a juvenile female. The boy is being referred for charges to Lewis County Juvenile Court. 

Yelm Woman Arrested on Meth Charge

• At 4:49 p.m. on Thursday, police responded to a report of a shoplifter in the 1300 block of South Gold Street. Rachel R. Robidoux, 30, of Yelm, was arrested and booked into the Lewis County Jail on suspicion of possession of methamphetamine. Officers reported finding the meth in her possession.  

MIP Reported

• At 7:14 p.m. on Thursday, two juveniles — a boy and a girl — were arrested and booked into Lewis County Juvenile Detention after they were found “highly intoxicated” by officers outside a gas station in the 2000 block of Borst Avenue. 

One Arrested on Obstruction Charge

• At 9:33 p.m. on Thursday, police responded to the 1200 block of Mellen Street and arrested Casey J. Darling, 27, on suspicion of obstructing an officer and on outstanding municipal court warrants. 

Fake Cash Reported

• At 5:48 a.m. on Friday, police received a report of a fake $10 being used at a business in the 900 block of Harrison Avenue. 

Driver Doesn’t Pay for Gas

• At 6:32 a.m. on Friday, police received a report of a person stealing gas from a gas station in the 900 block of Harrison Avenue. 

Animal Abuse Reported

• At 10 a.m. on Friday, police received a report of animal abuse in the 3300 block of Fords Prairie Avenue. The case is under investigation. 

Chehalis Police Department 

Teen Faces Assault Charge After Pencil Stabbing

• At 9:08 a.m. on Wednesday, police responded to a report of an assault in the 300 block of 16th Street in Chehalis. One boy reportedly stabbed another juvenile with a pencil. No serious injury was reported. The suspect, a 16-year-old Chehalis boy, is being referred to prosecutors on suspicion of second-degree assault. 

Scam Phone Calls Reported

• At 11:34 a.m. on Wednesday, police received a report of a phone scam from the 200 block of Southwest First Street. A person reported they provided their Social Security number to the caller. 

• At 2:41 p.m. on Wednesday, a scam phone call was reported in the 300 block of North Market Boulevard. 

Hit and Run

• At 12:08 p.m. on Wednesday, a hit and run was reported in the 200 block of Southwest First Street. 

Two Face Theft Charges

• At 1:09 p.m. on Wednesday, police responded to a report of shoplifters in the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue. Jessica L. Whisler, 37, of Centralia was arrested and booked into the Lewis County Jail on suspicion of third-degree theft and Jennifer D. Turnbull, 26, of Centralia, was cited on the same charge. 

Assault Reported

• At 5:50 p.m. on Wednesday, a fourth-degree assault was reported in the 300 block of Southwest Third Street. 

DUI

• At 1:41 a.m. on Thursday, police responded to the 2300 block of Northeast Kresky Avenue and arrested Christopher L. Mayhaw, 32, of Chehalis, on suspicion of driving under the influence.

Woman Arrested on Malicious Harassment Charge

• At 10 a.m. on Thursday, police responded to the 300 block of North Market Boulevard and arrested Elizabeth J. Havlin, 45, a transient, on suspicion of malicious harassment. 

Tow Dolly Reported Stolen

• At 2:50 p.m. on Thursday, a tow dolly was reported stolen from the 1200 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue. The theft reportedly occurred in the past two weeks. 

Suspect Steals Liquor

• At 8:16 p.m. on Thursday, police received a report of a theft of liquor in the 1100 block of South Market Boulevard. 

Lewis County Jail Statistics

As of Friday morning, the Lewis County Jail had a total system population of 225 inmates, including 194 in general population, 28 in the Work Ethic and Restitution Center and three on work release. Of general population inmates, 162 were male and 32 female and of WERC inmates, 25 were male and three female.
