Sirens: Idaho Man Arrested in Randle With Stolen ATV; Police Respond to Assault Reports; Rent Money Taken

Log Splitter Stolen

• At 8:34 a.m. on Wednesday, a hydraulic log splitter was reported stolen from a back yard in the 300 block of L Street. 

 

Rent Money Taken

• At 8:50 a.m. on Wednesday, rent money was reported stolen in the 1000 block of North Scheuber Road. 

• At 9:14 a.m. on Wednesday, rent money was reported stolen in the 1000 block of North Scheuber Road. 

 

Phone Stolen

• At 9:46 a.m. on Wednesday, a Samsung Galaxy Note 5 cell phone was reported stolen in the 500 block of Harrison Avenue. 

 

Vehicle Prowls

• At 1:36 p.m. on Wednesday, a vehicle prowl was reported in the 400 block of South Buckner Street in Centralia. Personal items were stolen from the unlocked vehicle. 

• At 2:48 p.m. on Wednesday, a vehicle prowl was reported in the 1600 block of South Gold Street. A window was broken out of a parked vehicle. 

• At 11:15 a.m. on Thursday, a vehicle prowl was reported in the 200 block of North King Street. Shoes and clothing were reported stolen from a vehicle on Aug. 13. 

 

SUV Stolen

• At 2:25 p.m. on Wednesday, a gray 2013 Honda Pilot was reported stolen in the 800 block of G Street. 

 

Transient Cited for Knocking Over Newspaper Dispenser, Taking Change

• At 3:24 p.m. on Wednesday, police responded to the 1000 block of Belmont Avenue to a report of a theft. Johnathan H. Mitchell, 24, a transient, was cited on suspicion of third-degree theft for allegedly knocking over a newspaper dispenser and stealing the change that fell out. 

 

Forgery

• At 4:01 p.m. on Wednesday, police received a report of a person depositing a forged check in the 1100 block of Harrison Avenue. 

 

Police Respond to Assault Reports

• At 9:04 p.m. on Wednesday, police received a report of an assault in the 1400 block of Eshom Road. Police issued a summons to a 51-year-old Centralia man, who allegedly fled the scene before they arrived.

• At 12:17 a.m. on Thursday, police responded to a report of an assault in the 500 block of North Rock Street and arrested Victoria A. Light, 31, of Centralia, on suspicion of fourth-degree assault, domestic violence, for allegedly assaulting her boyfriend. 

• At 1:45 a.m. on Thursday, police responded to the 1300 block of Belmont Avenue to a report of an assault. A 27-year-old Centralia man was issued a court summons on a charge of fourth-degree assault, domestic violence, after reportedly fleeing the scene before police arrived.

• At 9:38 a.m. on Thursday, police responded to the 1700 block of Harrison Avenue to a report of an assault. James P. Vessio, 49, of Centralia, was cited on suspicion of fourth-degree assault. 

 

Protection Order, Warrant Leads to Arrests

• At 8:58 a.m. on Thursday, police responded to the 3400 block of Galvin Road. Corey R. Pittman, 36, of Chehalis, was arrested on suspicion of violating a protection order. Kimberly A. Parkison, 29, of Winlock, was arrested on an outstanding warrant. 

 

Randle Man Arrested on Trespassing Charge

• At 11:20 a.m. on Thursday, police arrested Kelly A. Holen, 32, Randle, near the intersection of Third Street and Dickey Road on suspicion of trespassing on railroad tracks and resisting arrest. 

 

Mailboxes Damaged

• At 11:26 a.m. on Thursday, police received a report from the 100 block of Silver Street that three mailboxes were pried open in the past two days. 

 

Accused Shoplifters Cited

• At 5:12 p.m. on Thursday, police responded to the 500 block of South Tower Avenue and cited Sarah A. Gee, 28, of Toledo, on suspicion of third-degree theft for allegedly shoplifting. 

• At 5:49 p.m. on Thursday, police responded to the 1200 block of Mellen Street and cited Jacob S. Drury, 22, of Centralia, on suspicion of third-degree theft for allegedly shoplifting.

 

House Egged, Hit with Rocks

• At 5:59 p.m. on Thursday, police received a report that a house in the 400 block of Prairie Rose Street was egged and had rocks thrown through the windows. 

 

Chehalis Police Department

Custodial Assault Under Investigation

• At 9:56 a.m. on Wednesday, police received a report of a custodial assault at Green Hill School in the 300 block of Southwest 11th Street. 

 

Driver Leaves Baby in Jeep

• At 12:08 p.m. on Wednesday, police received a report that a man left a baby in a car seat in a Jeep while he went into a business in the 1000 block of North National Avenue to buy marijuana, according to a report from the police department. No arrests were made. 

 

Trespasser Reported

• At 12:08 p.m. on Wednesday, police received a report of homeless people trespassing in the 1000 block of Northwest State Street. 

 

Shoplifter Spotted at Dollar Tree

• At 5:15 p.m. on Wednesday, police received a report of a trespasser in the 1000 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue at Dollar Tree. 

 

Harassment

• At 6:20 p.m. on Wednesday, harassment was reported in the 300 block of South Third Street. 

 

Computer Parts Stolen

• At 8:27 p.m. on Thursday, computer parts were reported stolen in the past week in a burglary in the 500 block of Northwest Ohio Avenue. 

 

Trespasser Reported Sleeping on Private Property

• At 6:10 a.m. on Friday, police received a report of a trespasser in a sleeping bag in the 1000 block of North National Avenue. 

 

Lewis County Sheriff’s Office

Idaho Man Arrested in Randle with Stolen ATV

• At 1:54 p.m. on Wednesday, deputies responded to a report of a Honda CRX 420 ATV reported stolen in Castle Rock being located in the 9000 block of U.S. Highway 12 in Randle. The man allegedly operating the vehicle, Spencer C. Kraft, 33, of Idaho Falls, Idaho, was arrested on suspicion of possession of a stolen vehicle.

 

Truck Totaled in Hit and Run With Telephone Pole

• At 8:47 p.m. on Wednesday, deputies responded to a report of a hit and run crash in the 1300 block of state Route 603. A tan 1999 Ford F-350 crashed into a telephone pole and was totaled. The driver was reportedly seen leaving the scene in a white Honda Civic. The incident is under investigation.

 

Lewis County Jail Statistics

• As of Friday morning, the Lewis County Jail had a total population of 196 inmates, including 171 in general population and 25 in the Work Ethic and Restitution Center. Of general population inmates, 130 were men and 41 were women. Of WERC inmates, 21 were men and four were women. A total of 43 inmates were booked through contracts with agencies outside Lewis County.
