Hit and Run Suspect Referred for Charges, Runs From Police With Child

• At 12:10 p.m. on Friday, police responded to the 1000 block of West Main Street to a report of a hit and run. A 29-year-old Mossyrock man is being referred to prosecutors on suspicion of third-degree driving with a suspended license, hit and run and reckless endangerment. The driver reportedly collided with two unattended vehicles and ran from the scene “with a small child in his arms,” according to the Centralia Police Department.  

Thefts

• At 2:23 p.m. on Friday, items were reported stolen from a business in the 500 block of South Tower Avenue. 

• At 4:15 p.m. on Friday, clothing was reported stolen in the 1400 block of Lum Road. 

• At 8:44 a.m. on Saturday, steering fluid was reported stolen from a store in the 1100 block of Harrison Avenue.

Hit and Runs

• At 4:53 p.m. on Friday, a hit and run was reported in the 1100 block of Harrison Avenue. 

• At 3:12 p.m. on Saturday, a hit and run was reported in the 500 block of Harrison Avenue. 

 Centralia Suspect Booked on Obstruction Charge

• At 11:40 p.m. on Friday, Bradley A. Sprouse, 41, of Centralia, was arrested in the 600 block of North Gold Street on suspicion of obstructing a law enforcement officer.

Three Arrested on Organized Retail Theft Charges

• At 3:45 p.m. on Saturday, police responded to the 100 block of West High Street and arrested Destiny D. Dillon, 39, of Tacoma, Jacob L. Oya, 31, of Everett and Sokpear Choun, 32, of Tacoma on suspicion of organized retail theft. They were accused of stealing a large amount of clothing and fleeing the area in a vehicle. They were arrested later in Thurston County. 

 

Lewis County Jail Statistics

As of Monday morning, the Lewis County Jail had a total system population of 228 inmates, including 196 in general population, 31 in the Work Ethic and Restitution Center and one on work release. Of general population inmates, 161 were male and 35 were female and of WERC inmates, 29 were male and two female.
