Sirens: Five Men Suspected in Theft from Outlets; Man Arrested After Discharging Weapon; Suspect Accused of Stealing, Pawning Grandmother’s Laptop

Centralia Police Department

Theft Suspect Cited

• At 1:02 p.m. on Monday, police responded to the 1100 block of Harrison Avenue and cited Daniel J. Alvarado, 29, of Centralia, on suspicion of third-degree theft. 

Assault Suspects Arrested

• At 7:05 p.m. on Monday, police responded to a report of a dispute in the 1000 block of Scammon Creek Road. Carson D. Pendleton, 21, of Centralia, was arrested on suspicion of fourth-degree assault, domestic violence. 

• At 9:22 p.m. on Monday, police responded to a report of a domestic dispute in the 1400 block of Lewis Street. Benjamin R. Fasano, 31, of Centralia, was arrested on suspicion of fourth-degree assault, domestic violence. 

• At 12:47 p.m. on Tuesday, police responded to the 200 block of North Gold Street and arrested Glenn T. Smith, 37, of Centralia, on suspicion of second-degree assault, domestic violence. He is also being referred to prosecutors on a charge of fourth-degree assault, domestic violence, according to police.

Money Reported Stolen

• At 9:28 p.m. on Monday, money was reported stolen from a wallet in the 700 block of North Tower Avenue. 

Accused Trespasser Cited

• At 10:52 a.m. on Tuesday, police responded to a report of a trespasser in the 2800 block of Russell Road. Lucas D. Bryan, 28, of Centralia, was cited on suspicion of criminal trespass. 

Five Men Suspected in Theft from Outlets

• At 11:12 a.m. on Tuesday, police responded to a report of five men working together to steal items from the Centralia Factory Outlets in the 1400 block of Lum Road. The men reportedly fled the scene by eluding police. Investigators obtained video of the suspects and are continuing to investigated possible felony charges of second-degree theft and eluding. 

Bike Stolen

• At 2:15 p.m. on Tuesday, a pink and white bicycle was reported stolen in the 500 block of South Tower Avenue.  

Diabetes Medication Taken

• At 4:32 p.m. on Tuesday, police received a report of a theft of diabetic insulin in the 1500 block of Crescent Avenue. 

Man Arrested After Discharging Weapon

• At 7:26 p.m. on Tuesday, police responded to the 2800 block of Borst Avenue in Centralia and arrested Jeffrey A. Brooks, 56, of Centralia, on suspicion of unlawful discharge of a firearm in city limits. 

Suspect Booked on Meth Charge

• At 12:55 a.m. on Wednesday, police responded to the 600 block of North Pearl Street and arrested Darryl W. Normand, 52, of Centralia, on suspicion of possession of methamphetamine. 

Chehalis Police Department

Medication Stolen

• At 9:07 a.m. on Monday, a backpack containing medication was reported stolen Southwest Chehalis Avenue.  

Malicious Mischief Breaks Van’s Window

• at 11:30 a.m. on Monday, a person reported a vehicle “peeled out” in their driveway in the 800 block of Southwest 19th Street the previous night, causing flying gravel to break a van’s window. 

Trespassers Reported

• At 11:42 a.m. on Monday, a trespasser was reported in the 1600 block of South Market Boulevard. 

• At 5:39 p.m. on Monday, a trespasser was reported in the 400 block of North Market Boulevard. 

• At 6:05 p.m. on Monday, a trespasser was reported in the 1500 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue. 

• At 1:56 a.m. on Tuesday, a trespasser was reported in the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue. 

• At 9:03 p.m. on Tuesday, a trespasser was reported in the 1500 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue. The suspect reportedly also took money out of a tip jar. 

Burglaries

• At 2:19 p.m. on Monday, a burglary was reported in the 500 block of Northwest West Street. 

• At 8:05 a.m. on Tuesday, a burglary was reported in the 600 block of Northwest West Street. 

• At 5:04 a.m. on Wednesday, a burglary was reported in the 700 block of West Main Street. 

Shoplifting Suspect Arrested

• At 4:22 p.m. on Monday, police responded to the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue for a report of a shoplifter. Christopher A. Tinnerstet, 27, of Shelton, was arrested on suspicion of third-degree theft for allegedly stealing $45.35 in merchandise. 

Woman Booked on Drug Charge

• At 8:18 p.m. on Monday, police responded to a report of drug possession in the 1000 block of Southwest 20th Street. Jennifer K. Johnson, 42, of Chehalis, was arrested on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance. 

Hit and Run

• At 5:59 p.m. on Tuesday, a hit and run was reported in the 100 block of Southwest Fourth Street. A fence was damaged. 

Vehicle Prowl

• At 5:15 a.m. on Tuesday, a vehicle prowl was reported on Southwest Third Street in Chehalis. 

Lewis County Sheriff’s Office

Suspect Accused of Stealing, Pawning Grandmother’s Laptop

• At 2:23 p.m. on Tuesday, deputies responded to a report of a theft in the 300 block of Tauscher Road in Chehalis. A woman reported her laptop, valued at $1,200, was stolen. Deputies later learned it had been pawned. Travis Lee O’Shane, 25, a transient and reportedly the victim’s grandson, was arrested on suspicion of second-degree theft and first-degree trafficking in stolen property.
