Sirens: Fishing Equipment Taken in Burglary; Teen Faces Charge After Alcohol-Related Crash; Juvenile Accused of Threatening Adult

Centralia Police Department

Vehicle Prowl

• At 7:52 a.m. on Wednesday, a vehicle prowl was reported in the 200 block of West Summa Street. Sunglasses, personal items and gift cards were taken. 

• At 3:50 p.m. on Wednesday, police received a report of a vehicle prowl in the 500 block of Harrison Avenue. A window was broken and a purse and personal items were taken. 

Man Booked on Drug Charges

• Alejandro S. Escamilla, 43, of Centralia, was arrested at 1:06 p.m. in the 500 block of Woodland Avenue on suspicion of possession of marijuana over 40 grams and possession of methamphetamine. 

Tools Stolen in Burglary

•  At 1:10 p.m. on Wednesday, a burglary was reported in the 600 block of Yew Street. A tool box and tools were stolen from a garage. 

Fishing Equipment Taken in Burglary

• At 1:10 p.m. on Wednesday, a fishing pole, tackle box and cigarettes were reported stolen in the 1000 block of North Pearl Street. 

Political Signs Stolen

• At 1:10 p.m. on Wednesday, political signs were reported stolen in the 1000 block of North Pearl Street. 

Woman Arrested for Theft of Purse

• At 1:47 p.m. on Wednesday, Tanya N. Harris, 37, of Centralia, was arrested on suspicion of second-degree theft for allegedly taking a purse from a shopping cart in the 500 block of South Tower Avenue. 

Man Booked on Weapon Possession Charge

• Dustin P. McLean, 20, of Centralia, was arrested and released at 6:38 p.m. Wednesday in the 900 block of Johnson Road on suspicion of unlawful possession of a dangerous weapon and for an outstanding warrant.

Bowling Ball Stolen

• At 8:05 a.m. on Thursday, a bowling ball was reported stolen from a business in the 800 block of Harrison Avenue. The ball was later found in a field behind the business.

Theft Reported

• At 8:40 a.m. on Thursday, miscellaneous items were reported stolen from a room in the 2800 block of Russell Road. 

Trump Political Signs Stolen

• At 12:56 p.m. on Thursday, police received a report that three Donald Trump political signs were stolen from a yard in the 1000 block of North Pearl Street. 

Laptop Taken in Burglary

• At 5:33 p.m. on Thursday, police received a report of a burglary in the 600 block of Jefferson Street in Centralia. A laptop computer and Playstation were taken. 

Theft Suspect Cited

• At 5:42 p.m. on Thursday, William Sacks, 53, of Centralia, was cited on suspicion of third-degree theft in the 400 block of West Main Street.

Chehalis Police Department

Attempted Vehicle Prowl Reported

• At 12:17 p.m. on Wednesday, the Chehalis Police Department received a report of a woman attempting to open doors of vehicles in a parking lot in the 1000 block of South Market Boulevard, then getting in a verbal dispute with a man.

Vehicle Stolen

• At 1:17 p.m. on Wednesday, a silver 2002 Honda CRV was reported stolen in the 1000 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue in Chehalis. 

Shoplifters Reported

• At 8:07 p.m. on Wednesday, a shoplifter was reported in the 1000 block of South Market Boulevard. No arrests were made.

• At 3:22 p.m. on Thursday, police received a report of a shoplifter in the 1000 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue. Joshua E. Leach, 33, of Spokane Valley, was arrested on suspicion of second-degree burglary because he had previously been banned from the store. 

Teen Faces Charge After Alcohol-Related Crash

• At 3:31 a.m. on Friday, police received a report that a vehicle hit a fence and possibly also a building near the intersection of Cascade Avenue and William Street in Chehalis. Police arrived and found a Ford Ranger truck crashed through a fence. The truck also damaged a street sign and a water pump. A 16-year-old Chehalis boy was cited on suspicion of operating a vehicle after consuming alcohol and released to his father’s custody. 

Morton Police Department

Officers Respond to Report of Juveniles Smoking Marijuana

• At 6:53 p.m. on Monday, police received a report of juveniles smoking marijuana in the 200 block of Fourth Street in Morton. Officers found that the juveniles were not under the influence, but released them to parents or grandparents. 

Juvenile Accused of Threatening Adult

• At 3:59 p.m. on Tuesday, police received a report of a juvenile threatening an adult in the 400 block of Main Avenue in Morton. The case is under investigation. 

Lewis County Sheriff’s Office

Man Arrested for Violation of No-Contact Order

• Juan Lopez-Padillo, 46, of Chehalis, was arrested at 6:26 p.m. Thursday in the 200 block of Rogers Road in Chehalis on suspicion of violating a domestic-violence no-contact order. A deputy from the Lewis County Sheriff’s Office went to the residence to get new contact information from its resident for a court case, according to the Sheriff’s Office. When the deputy knocked on the door, Lopez-Padillo answered, despite not being allowed at the residence. The deputy recognized him and took him into custody.
