Vehicle Prowl

• At 9:45 a.m. Wednesday, a vehicle prowl was reported in the 1500 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue.

 

Police Arrest Theft Suspect

• At 7:14 p.m. Wednesday, police responded to the 100 block of Southwest Interstate Avenue and arrested Valentino Vasquez, 33, of Chehalis on suspicion of third-degree theft.

 

Woman Booked After Allegedly Using Counterfeit Bill

• At 9:10 a.m. Thursday, police responded to the 100 block of Southwest Interstate Avenue and arrested Rebecca J. Harrison, 44, of Bremerton on suspicion of counterfeiting and third-degree theft. Harrison allegedly attempted to use the bill to pay for a meal.

 

License Plate Nabbed

• At 6:31 p.m. Thursday, a theft of a license plate was reported in the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue.

 

CENTRALIA POLICE DEPARTMENT 

Theft

• At 10:40 a.m. Wednesday, a caller in the 900 block of Goff Street reported multiple items have been stolen from a garage over a span of a couple weeks.

• At 3:19 p.m. Wednesday, a theft of a cellphone was reported in the 900 block of Johnson Road. 

 

Driver Takes Off From Gas Station With Hose Still Attached

• At 4:08 p.m. Wednesday, police were alerted that in the 900 block of Harrison Avenue, a driver left a gas station, with the gas hose still attached to the vehicle. The gas hose was disconnected, and the driver returned it to the station but did not leave contact information.

 

Man Booked for Violating Protection Order

• At 5:34 p.m. Wednesday, police responded to the 100 block of West Plum Street and arrested James J. Gedney, 47, of Centralia on suspicion of violating a protection order.

 

DUI Suspect Arrested

• At 2:11 a.m. Thursday, police responded to the intersection of Main Street and Washington Avenue and arrested a person on suspicion of driving under the influence.

 

Victim Reports Week-Old Robbery

• At 10:12 a.m. Thursday, a caller at Tilley and Main streets reported being robbed by two subjects in ski masks about a week ago.

 

Driver Cited for Suspended License

• At 11:10 p.m. Thursday, police responded to First and M streets and arrested and released a 25-year-old Centralia resident on suspicion of third-degree driving with a suspended license.

 

Vehicle Windshield Shattered

• At 6:41 a.m. Friday, a caller in the 1400 block of Harrison Avenue reported a vehicle windshield had been shattered overnight.

 

LEWIS COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE

Teen Arrested for Assault

• At 7 p.m. Thursday, deputies responded to the 800 block of Spencer Road, Toledo and arrested a 16-year-old male juvenile on suspicion of fourth-degree assault — domestic violence.

 

LEWIS COUNTY JAIL STATISTICS

• As of Friday morning, the Lewis County Jail had a total system population of 213 inmates, with 176 in general population, 35 in the work ethic and restitution center and two on work release. Of general population inmates, 142 were male and 34 were female and of WERC inmates, 29 were male and six were female. A total of 33 inmates were booked through contracts outside Lewis County.
