Sirens: ‘Disorderly’ Hotel Guest Arrested on Trespass, Obstruction Charges; Father Cited for Reckless Endangerment; Suspicious Men Seen Cutting Brush with Machetes

Centralia Police Department

Accused Trespasser Cited

• At 2:58 p.m. on Friday, police responded to a report of a trespasser in the 200 block of West Main Street. Jonathan M. Davis, 52, a transient, was cited on suspicion of trespassing. 

Car Keyed

• At 4:18 p.m. on Friday, police received a report of a car being keyed in the 1400 block of Harrison Avenue.  

Protection Orders Violated

• At 7:13 p.m. on Friday, police responded to a report of a violation of a protection order in the 200 block of North Ash Street. The suspect reportedly contacted the protected person via text message. 

•. At 6:16 p.m. on Friday, police responded to a report of a violation of a protection order in the 1100 block of Harrison Avenue. Justin A. Beaber, 31, of Centralia, was arrested on suspicion of violating a protection order. 

Assault Between Teens Reported

• At 7:13 p.m. on Friday, police received a report of an assault between teenagers in the 2800 block of Russell Road in Centralia. 

DUI 

• At 8:32 p.m. on Friday, police responded to the 2800 block of Russell Road and arrested Melissa S. Caywood, 36, on suspicion of driving under the influence. 

‘Disorderly’ Hotel Guest Arrested on Trespass, Obstruction Charges

• At 11:27 p.m. on Friday, police responded to a report of a disorderly hotel guest in the 1300 block of Belmont Avenue who was “intoxicated, screaming and refused to leave,” according to the Centralia Police Department. Jamie L. DeRosier, 51, of Seattle, was arrested on suspicion of criminal trespass and obstructing a law enforcement officer. 

Bicycle Stolen

• At 8:33 a.m. on Saturday, a bicycle was reported stolen from a front porch in the 900 block of North Washington Avenue.  

Debit Card Taken

• At 12:26 p.m. on Saturday, a debit card was reported stolen in the 100 block of South Pearl Street. 

Father Cited for Reckless Endangerment

• At 3:23 p.m. on Saturday, police responded to the 1200 block of West Main Street and cited Luis Sanchez-Lopez, 31, of Centralia, on suspicion of reckless endangerment. According to police, Sanchez-Lopez was accused of leaving “his young son along playing outside by himself for an extended period of time.”

Hit and Run

• At 7:59 p.m. on Saturday, a hit and run was reported in the 2700 block of Russell Road.  A blue Dodge Neon reportedly drove through several yards, causing damage before fleeing the scene. 

Garage Burglarized

• At 8:31 p.m. on Saturday, a burglary was reported at a garage in the 2900 block of Fords Prairie Avenue. 

Man Booked on Harassment, Meth Charges

• At 12:43 p.m. on Saturday, police responded to a disturbance in the 300 block of North Tower Avenue. Officers reportedly attempted to arrest Deymen Florez-Martinez, 24, of Centralia, on suspicion of damaging property, and on suspicion of threatening to kill the police officers who were arresting him. He was also booked on suspicion of possession of methamphetamine.  

Cell Phone Taken

• At 4:54 a.m. on Sunday, a cell phone was reported stolen in the 600 block of Centralia College Boulevard. 

Sexual Assault Reported

• At 7:10 a.m. on Sunday, a sexual assault was reported in the 2600 block of Cooks Hill Road. The report is under investigation. 

Chehalis Police Department

Malicious Mischief Reported

• At 8:30 p.m. on Friday, police received a report of malicious mischief in the 1200 block of Southwest Pacific Avenue. A juvenile reportedly broke a drinking cup.

Suspect Accused of Assaulting ABHS Staff Members

• At 10:33 a.m. on Friday, police responded to a report of an assault in the 500 block of Southeast Washington Avenue. A client at American Behavioral Health Systems was accused of assaulting two staff members. Jacob O.L. Larson, 34, of Olympia, was arrested on suspicion of two counts of fourth-degree assault. He is also facing two additional counts as well, according to the Chehalis Police Department.

Wallet Stolen

• At 12:32 p.m. on Friday, a man in the 300 block of West Main Street in Chehalis reported his ex-wife stole his wallet. No arrests were made. 

Vehicle Prowls

• At 12:35 p.m. on Friday, a vehicle prowl was reported in the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue. A backpack leaf blower was taken from the truck. 

• At 11:47 a.m. on Saturday, a vehicle prowl was reported in at the intersection of Louisiana Avenue and Shoreline Drive. Mail and bank checks were reported stolen.

• At 5:59 p.m. on Saturday, a vehicle prowl was reported in the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue.  

Accused Shoeless Shoplifter Arrested

• At 4:38 p.m. on Friday, police responded to a report of a shoplifter in the 1700 block of North National Avenue. The suspect reportedly came into the store without shoes, put shoes on and left without paying. Jacob S. Drury, 23, of Centralia, was arrested on suspicion of third-degree theft.

Thefts

• At 9:50 p.m. on Friday, a third-degree theft was reported in the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue. 

• At 2:24 p.m. on Saturday, a second-degree theft was reported in the 1400 block of Southwest Snively Avenue. 

• At 5:59 p.m. on Saturday, an attempted shoplifter was reported in the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue. 

Man Reported with Gun in Parking Lot

• At 12:12 a.m. on Saturday, police received a report of a suspicious man with a gun running around a parking lot in the 100 block of Southwest Interstate Avenue. No arrests were made. 

Trespasser Reported at Business Two Mornings in a Row

• At 11:09 a.m. on Saturday, police received a report of a trespasser in the 1500 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue. At 7:45 a.m. on Sunday, the same man was found allegedly trespassing at the same location in the 1500 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue. 

Burglary

• At 11:21 a.m. on Saturday, a burglary was reported in the 600 block of Northwest St. Helens Avenue. 

Children Left in Car

• At 2:56 p.m. on Saturday, police received a report of three children left in a vehicle in the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue. One of them was a baby. No arrests were made.

Rape Reported

• At 3:32 p.m. on Saturday, a rape was reported in the 300 block of Southwest 16th Street. No arrests were made. 

Hit and Run

• At 9:06 p.m. on Saturday, a hit and run was reported in the 600 block of Northwest Arkansas Way.

Suspicious Men Seen Cutting Brush with Machetes

• At 11:19 a.m. on Sunday, police received a report of trespassers in the 500 block of Southwest Riverside Drive in Chehalis. Three men were found on a property “chopping down brush” with a machete, according to police. No arrests were made. 

Woman Reports Threat to Kill

• At 3:14 p.m. on Sunday, a woman reported a man threatened to kill her in the 1200 block of South Market Boulevard. No arrests were made.

Lewis County Sheriff’s Office

DUI

• At 9:42 p.m. on Friday, deputies responded to the intersection of Louisiana Avenue and Arkansas Way and stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation. Blair James Yanito, 42, of Centralia, was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence. 

Vehicle Stolen

• At 6:41 p.m. on Sunday, a 1991 Honda Accord was reported stolen on U.S. Highway 603 at the Adna railroad trestle. The victim reported she recently purchased the vehicle. 

Cargo Trailer Containing Lawn Equipment Stolen

• At 1:40 a.m. on Sunday, a cargo trailer was reported stolen in the 100 block of Saley Lane in Centralia. The trailer reportedly contained a John Deere mower and a Stihl handheld blower. The total value of the items taken is estimated at $11,000.

Lewis County Jail Statistics

• As of Monday morning, the Lewis County Jail had a total system population of 229 inmates, including 193 in general population, 34 in the Work Ethic and Restitution Center and two on work release. Of general population inmates, 156 were male and 37 female and of WERC inmates, 29 were male and four female. A total of 40 inmates were booked through contracts with agencies outside Lewis County.
