Sirens: Deputies Investigate Burglary; Man Injured During Argument

Deputies Investigate Burglary

• At 1:01 p.m. Sunday, deputies responded to the 2000 block of Highway 603 in Winlock for a burglary. Someone broke into a trailer and stole around $5,000 worth of tools and other equipment. Everything but one chainsaw was recovered in a nearby wooded area. 

CENTRALIA POLICE DEPARTMENT

Hit and Runs

• At 10:13 a.m. Friday, a hit and run was reported in the 800 block of Harrison Avenue. Someone struck two utility boxes.

• At 4:35 p.m. Saturday, a hit and run was reported at First Street and Tower Avenue.

Police Respond to Trespass Incidents

• At 1:32 p.m. Friday, police issued a summons to a 56-year-old Centralia woman on suspicion of criminal trespass.

• At 2:16 p.m. Friday, police responded to the 500 block of South Tower Avenue and arrested Kendra C. Comfort, 32, a transient on suspicion of second-degree criminal trespass, after Comfort allegedly refused to leave a property where she had been placed on trespass. 

Police Arrest Assault Suspects

• At 8:38 p.m. Friday, police responded to the 200 block of West Oakview Avenue and arrested Jared B. Eder, 22, of Centralia on suspicion of fourth-degree assault — domestic violence.

• At 8:23 p.m. Saturday, police responded to the 1200 block of Alder Street and arrested Merri R. Kos, 30, of Centralia on suspicion of fourth-degree assault.

• At 12:35 a.m. Sunday, police responded to the 1000 block of Ham Hill and arrested Willard R. Lane, 64, of Centralia on suspicion of fourth-degree assault.

• At 5:01 p.m. Sunday, police responded to the 200 block of East Van Buren Street and arrested Myki C.P. Teeter, 26, of Rochester on suspicion of fourth-degree assault — domestic violence.

DUI Suspect Booked

• At 12:51 a.m. Saturday, police responded to the 2800 block of Borst Avenue and arrested Steven J. Eacker, 48, of Centralia on suspicion of driving under the influence. 

Teen Booked for Alcohol Possession

• At 2:37 a.m. Sunday, police responded to the 1200 block of Alder Street and arrested Christian D. Arledge, 19, of Bonnie Lack on suspicion of minor in possession of alcohol.

Police Arrest Suspects on Suspicion of Violating Protection Orders

• At 5:35 p.m. Sunday, police responded to the 2600 block of Fords Prairie Avenue and arrested Deborah A. Griffin, 67, of Centralia and Bruce W. Finney, 50, of Winlock on suspicion of violating a no contact order.

Thefts

• At 9:10 p.m. Friday, a theft of multiple unspecified items was reported in the 600 block of Harrison Avenue.

• At 10:33 p.m. Friday, a theft of alcohol was reported from a business in the 1100 block of Harrison Avenue.

• At 12:49 a.m. Saturday, a theft of a cellphone was reported in the 100 block of South Tower Avenue. 

CHEHALIS POLICE DEPARTMENT 

Hit and Run

• At 5:33 p.m. Friday, a hit and run was reported in the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue. A charge of hit and run was referred to the city attorney’s office against a male 17-year-old Chehalis juvenile.

DUI Suspect Booked

• At 12:41 a.m. Sunday, police responded to Chamber Way and Interstate 5 and arrested Brandon W. Bowen, 27, of Toledo on suspicion of driving under the influence.

Caller Reports Trespasser

• At 10:48 a.m. Sunday, a caller in the 1300 block of Northwest River Street reported a person showed up to property where they had previously been placed on trespass. No arrests were reported.

Man Injured During Argument

• At 5:20 p.m. Sunday, police were requested at Walmart in the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue, where a caller said he got into an argument, and was climbing out of a person’s car when they sped off, causing him to fall and injure himself.

LEWIS COUNTY JAIL STATISTICS

• As of Monday morning, the Lewis County Jail had a total system population of 239 inmates, with 208 in general population, 29 in the work ethic and restitution center and two on work release. Of general population inmates, 165 were male and 43 were female and of WERC inmates, 26 were male and three were female. A total of 37 inmates were booked through contracts outside Lewis County.
