Sirens: Collision Causes Injury; Caller Hears Shouts for Help; Police Arrest Suspect for Meth Possession

Collision Causes Injury

• At 12:33 p.m. Monday, police responded to a collision with injuries in the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue.

 Burglary Reported

• At 2:46 p.m. Monday, police were notified of a burglary in the 400 block of North Market Boulevard. Two male subjects entered a business and stole a purse. They then attempted to use cards inside the purse to make purchases.

Caller Hears Shouts for Help

• At 11:21 p.m. Monday, a caller in the 300 block of Southwest James Street reported a man and a woman were yelling “help me” and the woman was pounding on people’s doors.

Two Cited for Theft

• At 11:40 p.m. Monday, police responded to the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue and cited and released a 29-year-old McCleary woman and a 53-year-old Centralia woman on suspicion of third-degree theft.

Police Arrest Suspect for Meth Possession

• At 2:38 a.m. Tuesday, police responded to the 10 block of Southwest Chehalis Avenue and arrested Beth M. Davison, 51, of Chehalis on suspicion of possession of meth.

 

LEWIS COUNTY JAIL STATISTICS

• As of Tuesday morning, the Lewis County Jail had a total system population of 241 inmates, with 207 in general population, 31 in the Work Ethic and Restitution Center and three on work release. Of general population inmates, 167 were men and 40 were women and of WERC inmates, 28 were men and three were women. A total of 38 inmates were booked through contracts with agencies outside Lewis County.

 

CENTRALIA POLICE DEPARTMENT

Shoplifting Reported

• At 1:39 p.m. Monday, a shoplifting incident was reported at a store in the 1300 block of Lum Road.

 

Theft

• At 2:49 p.m. Monday, a theft of musical instruments was reported in the 100 block of South Tower Avenue.
