Sirens: Chimney Fire; Marijuana in School; Theft; Assault

Lewis County Sheriff’s Office

• Richard C. Peterson, 68, Chehalis, and his daughter, Linnea M. Weilacher, 35, Chehalis, were arrested at about 4 p.m. Thursday and booked into the Lewis County Jail for alleged second-degree assault in the 2200 block of state Route 6. The arrests resulted from an alleged fight that occurred between the two after Weilacher allegedly assaulted her mother. 

 

Centralia Police Department

Driving While Suspended

• Richard F. Kelly, 54, Onalaska, was arrested  at 12:02 p.m. Thursday at the intersection of Main Street and Pearl Street  and booked into the Lewis County Jail for a driving with a suspended license and an outstanding warrant. 

• Jasmin J. Romero, 20, Centralia, was arrested at 12:12 p.m. Thursday at the intersection of Main Street and Cedar Street and booked into the Lewis County Jail for an outstanding warrant and driving with a suspended license after being involved in a collision. 

A 17-year-old female is being referred to the Lewis County juvenile prosecutor for lying to the police and providing false information about the same crash. 

 Leonela Dado-Ledesma, 47, of Centralia, was cited and released at 12:48 p.m. Thursday for allegedly allowing an unauthorized person to drive a vehicle after allowing her unlicensed daughter to drive. The daughter was involved in the collision.

 

Graffiti

• Graffiti on a building was reported at 3:16 p.m. Thursday in the 600 block of J Street. 

 

Theft

• A wallet was reported stolen at 8:30 a.m. Thursday in the 2000 block of Borst Avenue. 

 

Assault

• A 16-year-old male was arrested at 5:53 p.m. Thursday in the 1200 block of Marion Street and booked in the Lewis County Juvenile Detention Center for alleged fourth-degree assault.

Chehalis Police Department 

Marijuana in School

• A 14-year-old Chehalis boy and a 14-year-old Winlock girl were charged with possession with intent to deliver after taking marijuana to school to sell. They were arrested at about 11:30 a.m. Thursday in the 1000 block of Southwest 20th Street and booked in the Lewis County Juvenile Detention Center.

 

Riverside Fire Authority

Chimney Fire

• Firefighters responded to a chimney fire at a single-family home in the 300 block of Downing Road in Centralia at 12 p.m. Thursday. The fire was contained to the chimney. The homeowner was instructed to monitor it and have the chimney inspected at a later time. No one was injured and no property damage was reported.
