CENTRALIA POLICE DEPARTMENT

Business Vandalized

• At 9:49 a.m. Monday, police were alerted to vandalism to a light at a business in the 800 block of Harrison Avenue.

Thefts

• At 9:59 a.m. Monday, the theft of ice cream was reported in the 1000 block of Belmont Avenue.

• At 11:13 a.m. Monday, a theft of hanging plants was reported in the 800 block of Park Way.

• At 4:11 p.m. Monday, police received a report about a woman leaving a store in the 1100 block of Harrison Avenue with groceries she didn’t pay for.

• At 4:23 p.m. Monday, a theft of a large piece of maple wood was reported in the 1100 block of Woodland Avenue.

Suspect With Warrant Allegedly Resists Arrest

• At 4:42 p.m. Monday, police responded to the 1600 block of Johnson Road and arrested Eric M. Myhre, 34, of Chehalis on suspicion of resisting arrest and on an outstanding warrant.

 Assault Suspect Booked

• At 7:31 p.m. Monday, police responded to the 200 block of North Ash Street and arrested Kendra C. Comfort, 32, a transient, on suspicion of fourth-degree assault. Comfort allegedly struck two men in the face during a dispute.

Suspect Booked for Violating Protection Order

• At 12:33 a.m. Tuesday, police responded to the 400 block of North Ash Street and arrested Isaac J. Cisneros, 26, of Centralia on suspicion of violating a protection order. 

Driver Cited for Operating Without a License

• At 1:32 a.m. Tuesday, police responded to the 900 block of Harrison Avenue and cited a 19-year-old Chehalis resident on suspicion of driving without a license or identification.

Suspect Booked for Alleged Meth Possession

• At 2:36 a.m. Tuesday, police responded to the 1300 block of Central Boulevard and arrested Justin J. Haugen, 25, of Centralia on suspicion of possession of meth.

Collision Causes Minor Injury

• At 3:03 p.m. Tuesday, a two-vehicle collision was reported at Gold and East Third streets. Minor injuries were reported, and the at-fault driver was issued an infraction.

Driver Cited for Suspended License

• At 5:13 p.m. Tuesday, police responded to the 400 block of North Gold Street and cited a 47-year-old Centralia resident on suspicion of driving on a suspended license.

Assault Suspect Booked

• At 11:33 p.m. Tuesday, police responded to the 1000 block of North Tower Avenue and arrested Catherine Schwab, 54, of Centralia on suspicion of fourth-degree assault — domestic violence.

Suspect Arrested, Released for Criminal Trespass

• At 12:22 a.m. Wednesday, police responded to the 900 block of Harrison Avenue and arrested and released a 48-year-old Tumwater woman on suspicion of criminal trespass after she allegedly returned to a business where she had been placed on trespass.

CHEHALIS POLICE DEPARTMENT

Suspect Accused of Violating Protection Order

• At 10:40 a.m. Monday, police responded to the 300 block of West Main Street and arrested Reed Norman, 69, of Onalaska, on suspicion of violating a protection order.

Custodial Assault Reported

• At 12:35 p.m. Monday, police responded to the 300 block of Southwest 11th Street after receiving a report of a custodial assault that reportedly occurred on April 15.

Children Ride Bikes Recklessly

• At 3:58 p.m. Tuesday, police were requested in the 200 block of Southwest Third Street, where two boys, approximately 9 years old, were riding their bikes in and out of traffic. The caller advised seeing three vehicles nearly hit the boys, who seemed to find the situation amusing. 

LEWIS COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE

Juvenile Booked for Assault

• At 3:39 p.m. Tuesday, deputies responded to milepost 71 of Interstate 5 and arrested a 15-year-old Centralia boy on suspicion of second-degree assault. The boy allegedly grabbed another boy’s sweatshirt, causing the boy to be choked, and bit another juvenile’s hand.

LEWIS COUNTY JAIL STATISTICS

• As of Wednesday morning, the Lewis County Jail had a total system population of 224 inmates, with 190 in general population, 32 in the Work Ethic and Restitution Center and two on work release. Of general population inmates, 164 were men and 26 were women and of WERC inmates, 27 were men and five were women. A total of 30 inmates were booked through contracts outside Lewis County.
