Child Molestation Report Under Investigation

• At 12:22 p.m. on Thursday, police received a report of child molestation in Centralia. The case is under investigation. 

 

Police Assist With Disorderly Student

• At 1:45 p.m. on Thursday, police responded to Washington Elementary to assist school staff with an out-of-control student. The student was released to parents. 

 

Mercer Island Resident Booked on Forged Prescription Charge

• At 7:20 p.m. on Thursday, police arrested Dae’Janique T. Berry, 23, of Mercer Island, in the 1200 block of Harrison Avenue on suspicion of forgery. Berry allegedly tried to obtain prescription medication using a face prescription and a fake New Jersey driver’s license. 

Chehalis Police Department

Man Booked for Protection Order Violation

• At 8:21 a.m. on Wednesday, police responded to a report of a protection order violation in the 500 block of North Market Boulevard. Jimmy W. Oleachea, 36, of South Bend, was arrested on suspicion of violating a protection order.

 

Teens Cited for Theft of Compressed Air

• At 1:16 a.m. on Thursday, police responded to the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue to a report of a theft in the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue. Two teens, 16- and 17-year-old boys from Chehalis, were referred to prosecutors on suspicion of third-degree theft for taking four cans of compressed air. The 16-year-old was also referred for possession of a prohibited substance, according to the police department.

Scam Caller Reported

• At 11:04 p.m. on Thursday, police received a report from the 100 block of Southwest Interstate Avenue of a scam phone call purporting to be from a power company.

 

Cell Phone Stolen

• At 12:42 p.m. on Thursday, a cell phone was reported stolen from the 300 block of Southwest 16th Street. 

 

Theft Reported

• At 12:39 p.m. on Thursday, a third-degree theft was reported in the 1000 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue. 

 

Lewis County Sheriff’s Office

Teen Cited on Marijuana Possession Charge

• At 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, deputies cited Branden M. McIntire, 19, of Randle, at White Pass High School in Randle on suspicion of possessing less than 40 grams of marijuana. It is illegal for anyone under 21 to possess marijuana.
