Sirens: Caller Reports Couple Having Sex in Front of Fairgrounds; Man Urinates on Caller’s Vehicle

Thefts

• At 11:26 a.m. Friday, a theft of clothes was reported in the 100 block of West High Street. A female subject took the clothes and placed them in a vehicle that didn’t belong to her before she fled the area. The vehicle’s owner returned the clothes to their owner.

• At 1:08 p.m. Friday, police were notified of a male subject who allegedly went into a store in the 1400 block of Lum Road, grabbed multiple children’s items that were still on hangers and ran from the area.

• At 3:02 p.m. Friday, a theft of a wallet was reported in the 1300 block of Lum Road.

• At 2:40 p.m. Saturday, a theft of medications was reported in the 1800 block of Cooks Hill Road.

• At 5:03 p.m. Saturday, three unknown males ran out of an outlet store in the 1400 block of Lum Road with numerous items of clothing.

 

Stolen Vehicle Recovered

• At 11:40 a.m. Friday, a truck stolen from the Puyallup Tribe was located in the 1500 block of Delaware Avenue. It was unoccupied.

 

Burglary

• At 7:06 a.m. Saturday, a burglary was reported in the 700 block of Harrison Avenue. Items were reported stolen from a hotel room.

 

Hit and Runs

• At 2:11 p.m. Saturday, a hit and run was reported in the 500 block of North Pearl Street.

• At 5:53 p.m. Sunday, a hit and run was reported in the 1100 block of Harrison Avenue.

 

Suspect Damages Mailbox

• At 8:53 p.m. Saturday, a caller in the 2300 block of Sirkka Avenue reported that someone damaged a mailbox.

 

Suspect Booked for Reckless Burning

• At 11:59 p.m. Saturday, police responded to the 100 block of West Magnolia Street and arrested Elizabeth J. Lovato, 34, of Centralia on suspicion of second-degree reckless burning. Lovato allegedly set a warming fire under the carport of a downtown building.

 

Police Seek Assault Suspect

• At 1:54 a.m. Sunday, police identified Skyler R. Schrader, 21, of Centralia as the suspect of an assault in the 200 block of North Tower Avenue. Police are seeking his whereabouts.

 

Vehicle Prowl

• At 4:17 p.m. Sunday, a vehicle prowl was reported in the 300 block of Linda Lane. Someone stole items from a vehicle about a month ago.

 

CHEHALIS POLICE DEPARTMENT

 

Hit and Runs

• At 10:28 a.m. Friday, a hit and run was reported in the 1000 block of Southwest Interstate Avenue.

• At 12:33 a.m. Sunday, a hit and run was reported at Market and Cascade avenues.

 

Possible Fight Reported

• At 10:54 a.m. Friday, a caller in the 1000 block of Southwest 20th Street reported hearing a possible physical altercation in an apartment. No arrests were reported.

 

Caller Sees People Drinking Outside

• At 3:33 p.m. Friday, a caller in the 100 block of Habein Road reported seeing people drinking outside, hanging around some vehicles.

 

Caller Reports Couple Having Sex in Front of Fairgrounds

• At 5:19 p.m. Friday, police were requested in the 2500 block of North National Avenue, where it appeared a couple was having sex just in front of the fairgrounds.

Woman Accused of Domestic Violence

• At 6:57 p.m. Friday, police responded to the 300 block of South Market Boulevard and arrested Tessa M. Mount, 36, of Chehalis on suspicion of fourth-degree assault — domestic violence.

 

Man Seen Harassing People, Yelling Slurs

• At 6:59 p.m. Friday, a caller in the 500 block of North Market Boulevard reported a man walking around harassing people. He was yelling racial slurs, the caller said.

 

Man Urinates on Caller’s Vehicle

• At 12:24 a.m. Saturday, a caller in the 400 block of North Market Boulevard reported seeing a homeless man urinate on his vehicle.

 

DUI Suspect Booked

• At 2:15 a.m. Saturday, police responded to the intersection of Ninth Street and Washington Avenue and arrested Levi G. Edmonds, 29, of Centralia on suspicion of driving under the influence.

 

Threats Reported

• At 12:12 p.m. Saturday, someone reported a male subject holding a rock and yelling threats in the 10 block of Southwest Fourth Street.

 

Man Kicks Cars, Windows, Trash Cans

• At 3:20 p.m. Tuesday, a man was seen spitting and kicking at cars, windows and trash cans.

 

Man Jumps Out Bedroom Window

• At 2:39 p.m. Sunday, a caller in the 2000 block of Jackson Highway said she got home and heard the sound of someone jumping out her bedroom window.

 

LEWIS COUNTY JAIL STATISTICS

• As of Monday morning, the Lewis County Jail had a total system population of 213 inmates, with 180 in general population, 31 in the work ethic and restitution center and two on work release. Of general population inmates, 148 were male and 32 were female and of WERC inmates, 28 were male and three were female. A total of 47 inmates were booked through contracts outside Lewis County.
