Woman Arrested for Drugs, Theft

• At 7:30 a.m. on Thursday, police arrested Kendall B. Steveson, 19, of Winlock, on suspicion of second-degree theft and possession of heroin in the 100 block of North Iron Street. Steveson allegedly admitted to taking a friend’s wallet while he was sleeping and using money from it to by heroin, according to the Centralia Police Department. 

Purse Stolen

• At 8:58 a.m. on Thursday, a purse was reported stolen in the 800 block of South Pearl Street. 

Burglaries Reported

• At 12:56 p.m. on Thursday, police received a report of a burglary in the 1100 block of North Washington Avenue. A television, PS3 and movies were taken. 

• At 7:10 p.m. on Thursday, police received a report of a burglary to an apartment in the 700 block of G Street in Centralia. Electronics, a chain saw, a fireplace electric heater and a Craftsman tool set were taken. 

Beer Stolen

• At 1:29 p.m. on Thursday, beer was reported stolen from the 600 block of North Tower Avenue. 

Debit Card Taken

• At 4:15 p.m. on Thursday, a debit card was reported stolen in the 700 block of North Tower Avenue. The card was used to withdraw cash from the victim’s account, according to the police department. 

Woman Arrested on Assault Charge

• At 11:53 p.m. on Thursday, police arrested Venessa M. Zeller, 27, of Centralia, on suspicion of fourth-degree assault, domestic violence, in the 500 block of East Main Street. 

Chehalis Police Department

Identity Theft Reported

• At 2:45 p.m. on Wednesday, police received a report of an identity theft in the 200 block of Southeast Valley View Way. 

Police Investigate Harassment Complaint

• At 3:05 p.m. on Wednesday, police received a report of harassment in the 600 block of Southeast Dobson Court. Police forwarded the complaint to the Chehalis city prosecutor for possible charges. 

Shoplifter Cited

At 5:35 p.m. on Wednesday, police received a report of a shoplifter in the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue. Chanteel C. Lang, 21, of Centralia, was cited on suspicion of third-degree theft for allegedly shoplifting $125.49 in merchandise.

Trespassers Reported

• At 6:02 p.m. on Wednesday, police received a report of several people trespassing in the 700 block of North National Avenue. No arrests were made.

Vehicle Prowl

• At 11:49 a.m. on Thursday, a vehicle prowl on April 19 was reported in the 300 block of Northwest Chehalis Avenue. Medication was stolen.

Theft Reported

• At 2:20 p.m. on Thursday, a theft was reported in the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue. No further information was available.

Two Arrested After Protection Order Violation

• At 3:56 p.m. on Thursday, police responded to a report of a violation of a protection order in the 300 block of Southwest Third Street. Jacob J. Killian, 19, of Chehalis, was arrested on suspicion of violating a protection order. Adrianna M. Roberts, 18, of Onalaska, was arrested on suspicion of fourth-degree assault, domestic violence.

Morton Police Department

Disabled Man Walks From Burien to Morton

• At 3:46 p.m. on Tuesday, police received a report that a disabled man walked from Burien to Morton without shoes. The man was found in the 500 block of Adams Avenue in Morton dehydrated and with multiple blisters on his feet but otherwise in good health. Officers contacted mental health professionals and notified the man’s family. 

Barbecue Stolen

• At 7:10 a.m. on Wednesday, a barbecue worth $100 was reported stolen in the 200 block of Main Avenue in Morton.

Gun Taken

• At 7:10 a.m. on Thursday, police received a report of a stolen firearm in the 1000 block of Crystal Way in Morton. The alleged theft took place in September when the homeowner had people working on her property, according to the police department. The woman reported the gun might have been stolen when she let the workers in to use the bathroom. The theft is under investigation. 

Suspect Drives Away With Gas

• At 12:29 p.m. on Thursday, police received a report of a person driving away from a gas station in the 600 block of Airport Way in Morton without paying for the fuel. 

Lewis County Sheriff’s Office

Tires Slashed in Packwood

• The Sheriff’s Office is investigating a report that three tires on a vehicle were cut with a knife between 9:30 p.m. Tuesday and 8 a.m. Wednesday in the 12000 block of U.S. Highway 12 in Packwood. The tires were valued at $800. An investigation is ongoing. 

Tools Stolen in Winlock Burglary

• The Sheriff’s Office is investigating a burglary in the 800 block of North Military Road in Winlock that occurred between 4:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. A person gained entry through a pedestrian door to the detached garage and took a Stihl brush cutter, Stihl blower head, Ridgid cordless drill, Ridgid cordless impact hammer and a 12-volt Ridgid cordless drill with an oversized battery. Together, the tools are valued at $735.
