Sirens: Attempted Burglary Reported at Medical Facility; Vehicle Prowls; Two People Drag Man From Minivan

Centralia Police Department

Hit and Run

• At 9:36 a.m. on Friday, a hit and run was reported in the 900 block of Ellsbury Street. 

Attempted Burglary Reported at Medical Facility

• At 10:39 a.m. on Friday, an attempted burglary was reported at an outbuilding for a medical facility in the 1300 block of Alexander Street. 

Shoplifter Reported

• At 1:46 p.m. on Friday, a shoplifter was reported in the 500 block of South Tower Avenue. 

Assault, Malicious Mischief Reported

• At 6:25 p.m. on Friday, police received a report of assault and malicious mischief in the 300 block of East Van Buren Street. The report is under investigation. 

Suspect Booked on Cocaine Possession Charge

• At 9:35 p.m. on Friday, police responded to the 600 block of Harrison Avenue and arrested Skyler R. Schrader, 22, of Centralia, on suspicion of possession of cocaine. 

Centralia Man Referred to Prosecutors on Assault Charges

• At 11:04 p.m. on Friday, police responded to the 1500 block of Logan Street for a report of an assault. A 33-year-old Centralia man is being referred to prosecutors on suspicion of assault against a person he is in a relationship with. 

Vehicle Prowls

• At 9:29 a.m. on Saturday, a vehicle prowl was reported in the 1100 block of Scammon Creek Road. 

• At 11:10 a.m. on Saturday, a vehicle prowl was reported in the 600 block of Alder Street. A vape device was reported stolen. 

• At 2:33 p.m. on Saturday, a vehicle prowl was reported in the 500 block of Richmond Avenue. Tools and a vehicle registration were stolen. 

• At 4 a.m. on Sunday, a vehicle prowl was reported in the 700 block of K Street.

• At 10:41 a.m. on Sunday, a vehicle prowl was reported in the 1400 block of Johnson Road. 

TV, Other Items Stolen in Burglary

• At 12:38 p.m. on Saturday, a burglary was reported in the 1300 block of Belmont Avenue. A TV and pillows were reported stolen. 

Rochester Suspect Booked for Physical Control DUI

• At 1:38 p.m. on Saturday, police responded to the 2000 block of Borst Avenue and arrested Mark Bernoff, 56, of Rochester, on suspicion of being in physical control of a vehicle while intoxicated. 

Woman Arrested on Identity Theft, Drug Charges

• At 4:25 p.m. on Saturday, police responded to the 100 block of High Street and arrested Laura Escoto, of Des Moines, on suspicion of identity theft, possession of methamphetamine and a warrant for a charge of trafficking in stolen property.

Assault Suspect Booked

• At 9:45 p.m. on Saturday, police responded to the 100 block of South Pleasant Avenue and arrested Luis Gomez-Reyes, 33, of Centralia on suspicion of fourth-degree assault, domestic violence.

Stolen Packages

• At 4:30 p.m. on Sunday, police received a report of stolen packages from the 300 block of Southeast Washington Avenue.

High Schooler Tries To Get In On Middle School Fight

• At 2:25 p.m. on Friday, police received a call from the 1000 block of Southwest 20th Street about a high school student who allegedly wouldn’t leave the middle school because he wanted to be apart of a fight that was allegedly supposed to take place after school.

Two People Drag Man From Minivan

• At 5:33 p.m. on Friday,  police arrested Lisa B. Chartier, 42, transient, and Douglas A. Lafountaine, 48, of Eugene, Ore., at the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue and booked both of them into Lewis County Jail. Chartier was arrested on suspicion of second-degree assault, and Lafountaine on suspicion of fourth-degree assault. They were accused of dragging a one-legged man from his minivan.

Shoplifting

• At 10:49 a.m. on Saturday, police arrested April R. Isenhower at the 1700 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue and booked her on suspicion of second-degree burglary. She has also been referred for charges to the Lewis County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office on suspicion of third-degree theft.

No-Contact Order Violated

• At 7:48 p.m. on Friday, police arrested a man at the 300 block of Southwest 3rd Street and referred him to the Lewis County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office for violation of a no contact order with assault.

Graffiti Reported

• Police received a report of three people spray painting under the bridge at the 500 block of Northwest Chamber of Commerce.

Lewis County Jail Statistics

As of Monday morning, the Lewis County Jail had a total system population of 207 inmates, including 176 in general population, 30 in the Work Ethic and Restitution Center and one on work release. Of general population inmates, 138 were male and 38 female and of WERC inmates, 28 were male and two female.
