Sex Offenders Register as Transient in Thurston County

Two level 3 sex offenders have recently registered as transient in Thurston County.

Level 3 sex offender Curtis L. Jones, 47, is required to register as a sex offender due to a 2003 conviction in Lewis County Superior Court to two counts of first-degree child molestation.

Jones was sentenced to 120 months in prison. He was convicted, at 29 years old, of having sexual contact with a 9-year-old girl.

Jones is described as a white man standing 6 feet, 1 inch tall and weighing 250 pounds. He has brown hair and blue eyes.

Level3 sex offender Daniel L. Leatherman, 27, is required to register as a sex offender due to a 2015 conviction in Thurston County Superior Court to one count of indecent liberties with forcible compulsion. He was sentenced to 20 months in prison.

Leatherman was convicted, at age 21, of attempting to sexually assault a 36-year-old female.

Leatherman is described as a white male standing 6 feet tall and weighing 150 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes.

Level 3 sex offenders are those considered most likely to reoffend.
