A Rochester man accused of rape is being held in the Lewis County Jail on $200,000 bail.
Dallas Lee Hale-Pogue, 43, was charged Thursday in Lewis County Superior Court with one count of second-degree rape, domestic violence.
According to court documents, on Wednesday, police responded to a Centralia address to a report of a rape. A woman reported she was previously in a relationship with Hale-Pogue but that it had ended.
Despite that, she reported Hale-Pogue “would continuously attempt to be romantic.” She reported he showed up at her home and forcibly raped her.
When contacted by law enforcement, Hale-Pogue allegedly admitted to the incident but said it was an accident.
