Randle Man Arrested on Rape, Assault Charges

A Randle resident arrested Tuesday on suspicion of rape and assault charges is scheduled to make his first appearance in Lewis County Superior Court this afternoon.

The 21-year-old man was arrested at 6:52 p.m. Tuesday, according to Lewis County Jail records.

He is accused of raping a 19-year-old woman he was in a relationship with on two occasions in November 2015 in the 200 block of Silverbrook Road in Randle.

The man is facing charges of two counts of third-degree rape and one count of second-degree assault with sexual motivation, according to the Lewis County Sheriff’s Office.

Chief Deputy Stacy Brown said the agency would not release additional information about the incident at this time, in the interest of protecting the alleged victim’s identity.
