The Lewis County Coroner’s Office identified the person killed Monday evening after being struck by a truck while walking along state Route 508 in Napavine as Brandon C. Ditmeyer, 38, of Arizona.
A press release from the Coroner’s Office states Ditmeyer’s next of kin have been notified.
A Washington State Patro press release states Skylar R. Tremayne, 22, of Chehalis at about 7:19 p.m. was driving a 2000 Toyota Tundra pickup westbound on SR 508 near milepost 1. Ditmeyer was walking in the westbound lane, and was hit by the truck. Ditmeyer was killed, and Tremayne was uninjured. The press release doesn’t indicate whether the pedestrian died at the scene.
The cause and manner of death is pending an autopsy scheduled for later in the week.
