One Dead, One Injured in Centralia Stabbing, Suspect Arrested

One suspect is in custody on suspicion of first-degree murder and first-degree assault in “an apparent attack with a knife” that reportedly occurred Tuesday in the 1100 block of South Pearl Street in Centralia. 

Joshua L. Fleck, 29, of Centralia, was arrested and booked into the Lewis County Jail at 10:44 p.m. Tuesday.

He is scheduled to make his first appearance in Lewis County Superior Court Wednesday afternoon, after The Chronicle’s press deadline. 

One person was killed and a second injured. No other suspects are wanted in the case, according to a news release from the police department. 

An investigation is ongoing. No further information was immediately available.
