Much of Lewis County Out of Power, Authorities Looking for Source

All power was restored to Lewis County PUD customers by 3:50 p.m. Friday. A total of 18,275 PUD customers lost power during the outage. 

Centralia's power was restored just before 5 p.m. Friday.

The Lewis County PUD announced that the power outage is due to an interruption in service from the Bonneville Power Administration. The PUD is receiving reports of power outages from Centralia to Vader. 

Power has been rerouted to restore power from Napavine South. There is no estimate on when power will be restored to northern areas.

A total of 14,348 of the PUDs 32,600 customers were without power as of 2:11 p.m.

A widespread power outage is affecting residents of numerous communities in Lewis County, including parts of Centralia, Chehalis, Winlock and other south Lewis County areas. 

Steve Mansfield, Lewis County Director of Emergency Management, said authorities are searching for the cause of the outage.
