A woman accused of attempting to elude Tenino police officers Saturday had two “small children” in the car, according to the Tenino Police Department.

Police arrested Shawnie N. Goble on suspicion of attempting to elude a police vehicle, two counts of reckless endangerment, reckless driving, driving with a suspended license and outstanding warrants.

According to Thurston County Jail records, Goble was still in custody Tuesday morning.

At about 6:30 p.m. Saturday, a Tenino police officer witnessed a vehicle driving recklessly in the area of Lincoln Avenue East and Old Highway 99 North in Tenino, failing to stop and almost striking another vehicle.

The officer attempted to stop Goble’s vehicle, according to the department.

“Goble failed to stop, trying to elude the officer, leading them on a high-speed pursuit ending in the 2700 block of Angus Drive,” a news release states.

Police arrested Goble, and found two small children in the car, who were released to a family member.
