Centralia police officers successfully revived a person believed to be under the influence of narcotics Saturday morning after finding his vehicle crashed on the side of the road.

At 11:44 a.m. on Saturday, police responded to the intersection of Northpark Street and Galvin Road, where they found a vehicle crashed on the side of the road with its driver unconscious inside the vehicle.

The vehicle drove off the road and hit a phone box.

Officers used Narcan, an opioid antidote, to revive the driver, who was then transported to an area hospital.

The driver, identified as Nicholas M. Vernon, 34 of Chehalis, was cited on suspicion of driving under the influence.
