Cars Damaged by BB or Pellet Guns in East Thurston County

At least five vehicles were damaged by either BB or pellet gunfire over the weekend in east Thurston County, according to the Washington State Patrol.

The State Patrol does not have a suspect, Trooper Johnna Batiste said Monday. The shots reportedly came from either the woods, a white pickup or an SUV, she said.

The incidents were reported about 9:30 p.m. Saturday in the following areas: state Route 510 and 89th Avenue, and Pacifiic Avenue Southeast, just west of Marvin Road Southeast.

KIRO TV also reports there were incidents along Sleater-Kinney Road, Martin Way East and in the 3500 block of Marvin Road Southeast.

Kaitlin Moore told KIRO TV her vehicle was hit while she, her boyfriend and daughter were driving outside Yelm on Saturday.

“It just came in over top the mirror, hit the window and ricocheted over here leaving the dent in the side of the vehicle,” Moore told KIRO TV.

Moore told KIRO TV she believes the vehicle firing the shots was either a truck or an SUV with a rack on top.
