A 74-year-old Buckley man was killed in a crash on State Route 7 Saturday after his vehicle left the roadway to the right and struck a ditch and culvert, according to the Washington State Patrol.
Ronald Lee Monroe was pronounced dead at the scene. The crash occurred at about 4:45 p.m. 8 miles north of Morton.
A passenger in the southbound 2005 Chevrolet Silverado, 64-year-old James Albrecht, of Rochester, was injured in the crash and transported to Morton General Hospital.
The truck was pulling a utility trailer at the time of the crash.
Both men were wearing seat belts, according to the State Patrol.
