-Bail was set at $100,000 this week for a man accused of multiple offenses during a pursuit that included a carjacking at Red Wind Casino near Yelm, Thurston County Superior Court records show.

Court Commissioner Rebekah Zinn found probable cause to charge Jeremy J. Trudeau, 36, of Centralia with second-degree robbery, theft of a motor vehicle, attempting to elude a police vehicle and hit-and-run of an unattended vehicle.

In addition to bail, Trudeau was ordered not to have contact with Red Wind Casino. His arraignment is set for Dec. 17.

The Olympian reported this week that about 5 p.m. Sunday, a Yelm police officer made a traffic stop, then discovered a no-contact order between the man and woman in the vehicle. It was then that the driver took off.

The pursuit eventually led to Red Wind Casino, where the suspect drove into the parking garage, crashed into a parked vehicle, then left the woman behind in the car and took off on foot. He entered the casino, then exited.

The suspect then approached a security guard and displayed what the guard believed to be a gun, court records read. The suspect demanded possession of a car and told the guard to get down on the ground. He then drove off in the 2018 Ford Ecosport.

Thurston County Sheriff's deputies finally ended the pursuit off Marvin Road Southeast at the Village at Union Mills, an apartment complex.

After Trudeau was taken into custody, law enforcement says he told them that he had stolen the security guard's vehicle by intimidating him with a blow torch gun.
