The Lewis County Coroner’s Office is seeking help from the public to locate the family of a woman whose skeletal remains were found in Chehalis in February.

The decedent was identified as Sara Candice, 56, from the Twin Cities area, according to a press release from Coroner Warren McLeod.

Candice’s remains were positively identified on March 5, but her name was not released because her family could not be located.

The release states that all attempts to find next of kin by the Lewis County Sheriff’s Office and Chehalis Police Department have been unsuccessful.

Anyone with information is asked to call the coroner’s office at (360) 740-1376.

The skeletal remains were positively identified using dental records.

A survey crew found the remains on Feb. 23 in the 2200 block of Kresky Avenue.
