Debit Card Theft

• Someone reported the theft of a debit card and an EBT card from the 200 block of East Van Buren Street at 11:38 a.m. Thursday. The case is still under investigation.

Bike and Vehicle Collide

• A vehicle collided with a bicyclist that ran a stop sign on South Gold Street and East Locust Street at 2:41 p.m. Thursday. The person riding the bike was not hurt.

Stolen Bike

• Someone reported the theft of a bicycle that was locked with a security cable on the 200 block of North Railroad Avenue at 2:18 a.m. Friday. The security cable had been cut.

Obstructing a Public Servant

• David L. Hamilton, 41, Centralia, was arrested for obstructing a public servant while officers searched for a subject with an outstanding warrant on the 1200 block of Alder Street at 9:46 p.m. Thursday.

Broken Window

• An unknown suspect broke out a car window on the 100 block of Jefferson Street at 6:44 a.m. Friday.

Meth and Suspended License

• Sara M. Abbott, 22, Chehalis, was arrested and booked into the Lewis County Jail at 10:43 p.m. Thursday for alleged possession of drug paraphernalia and methamphetamine as well as driving while license suspended. When Abbott was stopped for a traffic infraction, a deputy observed a pipe on the floor of the car behind the driver’s seat. Abbott was put in custody and during a search of her person the deputy allegedly found a small baggie of meth.

Burglary

• A 65-year-old Ashford woman reported at 8:47 p.m. Thursday that an unknown suspect broke into a storage unit on her property on the 100 block of Osbourn Road in Ashford. The suspect took $340 worth of items including vehicle parts and a grill. Evidence was collected at the scene and it will be processed at the crime lab.

Dog Bite

• Deputies were dispatched to Morton General Hospital in response to a dog-bite injury at 6 a.m. Thursday. The victim, a 57-year-old woman, reported that she was walking on the 100 block of Placid Road when a chow-rottweiler mutt came up and bit her on the leg. The woman was treated for bite and puncture wound, and the owner of the dog was contacted. The dog will be quarantined for 10 days.

Fantasy Arson

• Someone reported a possible attempted arson outside of the Fantasy Shop on the 800 block of Main Street. The caller reported that there was a gas can by the building and it looked like someone had attempted to light it on fire. It was later determined that the gas can was not filled with gas, but with water.

Stolen Firearm

• Richard E. Engel, 22, Chehalis, was arrested and booked into the Lewis County Jail for possession of a stolen firearm at 11:22 p.m. Thursday on Southwest 1st Avenue.
