The Centralia Police Department is investigating the death of a 26-year-old Centralia man whose body was found floating in the Chehalis River Saturday morning.
Jessy Lee Hamilton was autistic, his mother, Jackie Hamilton, told The Chronicle Monday.
“He’s 26, but the mind of a 5-year-old,” she said.
Officers responded at 7:03 a.m. Saturday to the 2000 block of Borst Avenue after receiving reports that the man was missing.
Approximately a half-hour later, officers found his body in the Chehalis River.
The Centralia Police Department is investigating the details surrounding the man’s death.
