Sirens: Vandalized Motorcycle; Stolen Motorcycle; Residential Burglary; Teens, Pot and Alcohol

Centralia Police Department

Vandalized Motorcycle

• Officers took a report of a vandalized motorcycle radiator and an air conditioner on the 1100 block of South Pearl Street at about 11 a.m. Thursday.

 

Theft

• A purse was reported stolen shortly after 1 p.m. Thursday on the 1100 block of Harrison Avenue.

• A black Craftsman lawn mower was stolen from the 100 block of South Washington Avenue at 1:10 p.m. Thursday.

 

Violation of a Protection Order

• Derrek Larson, 21, Centralia, was arrested and booked into jail for alleged violation of a protection order on the 700 block of South Tower Avenue at 6:45 p.m. Thursday.

 

Obstructing

• Steven L.I. Castro, 36, Olympia, was arrested and booked into jail for suspicion of obstructing on the 1400 block of Johnson Road at about 2:45 a.m. Friday.

 

Lewis County Sheriff’s Office

Stolen Motorcycle

• A 2010 Fatboy Harley Davidson was reportedly stolen from the parking area of the Willapa Trail crossing at state Route 603 between 7 and 9 p.m. Thursday.

 

Burglary

• Tools and other items were stolen during a burglary at a garage on the 200 block of Bowen Road in Mossyrock. The burglary was reported at 6 p.m. Wednesday. The estimated loss is $1,800.

 

Assault

• Rodney D. DeWolf, 52, Winlock, was arrested and booked into jail for assault and violation of a court order after he allegedly showed up at his ex-girlfriend’s house on the 300 block of Hawkins Road and assaulted her. 

 

Residential Burglary

• A chain saw and other items were stolen during a burglary of a locked garden shed on the 2000 block of Graf Road in Centralia. The victim is 94 years old, and there is a person of interest.

 

Teens, Pot and Alcohol

• Two 17-year-olds, from Napavine and Chehalis, were referred for possession of marijuana and minor in possession of alcohol charges after deputies saw a suspicious vehicle parked on the 1100 block of state Route 603 shortly after 10 p.m. Thursday. Deputies contacted the two teens inside the vehicle and smelled marijuana. The teens agreed to let the deputies search the vehicle, where they found beer.

 

Chehalis Police Department

Assault

• Travis D. Compton, 23, Chehalis, was arrested and booked into jail for suspicion of fourth-degree assault after he allegedly smashed someone’s head into a wall on the 500 block of North Market Boulevard at about 12:40 p.m. Wednesday.

 

Meth

• Nicolas E. Dodrill, 25, Winlock, was arrested and booked into jail for alleged possession of methamphetamine shortly before 5 a.m. Thursday. A Chehalis police officer had attempted to pull Dodrill over on the 300 block of South Market Boulevard after Dodrill drove by with his high beams on. Dodrill, however, did not immediately pull over and the officer saw him throw something out of the window. Chehalis police dog Reign later tracked the item down, which turned out to be suspected meth.

• Tavryn L. Lindsey, 18, Toledo, was arrested and booked for possession of meth after a traffic stop on the northbound Interstate 5 ramp at 5 a.m. Thursday. The officer saw a suspected meth pipe in the car.
