Man Hospitalized After Fight Over Possible ‘Infidelity’

• Michael Thorson, 34, of Bucoda, was arrested and booked into jail for suspicion of second-degree assault and felony harassment after a fight on the 1700 block of Big Hanaford Road at 8:51 p.m. Tuesday. The fight, which was about a dispute over a relationship and possible infidelity, involved Thorson, a 21-year-old Centralia woman, a 25-year-old Centralia woman and a 26-year-old Centralia man. The Centralia man was transported to Harborview Medical Center with a possible broken orbital bone after Thorson allegedly punched him in the eye.

 

Not Happy With the Food

• Calee F. Anderson, 33, was arrested and booked for suspected disorderly conduct after deputies were called to the Plaza Jalisco restaurant on the 100 block of 100 Birch Street Southwest, Napavine, Wednesday afternoon at 1:50 p.m. A caller told deputies Anderson had bought some food to go but wasn’t happy with it even though she refused to open it. The restaurant offered her a refund, but she began yelling and refused to leave. Deputies responded as Anderson was reportedly yelling such things as “I’m waiting for the Aztec gods to make my food,” according to deputies. Anderson was arrested and escorted from the restaurant.

 

Vehicle Prowl

• A 36-year-old Onalaska man called police at 6:50 a.m. Monday to report a vehicle prowl that occurred at the end of Johnson Road at a logging site. A stereo, a camera, tools and 50 gallons of diesel fuel were taken. The estimated loss is approximately $2,900.

 

Burglary

• A 66-year-old Chehalis man reported that sometime between Saturday and Monday someone entered the shop area of the Hoffman Cedar Products mill on the 300 block of Chandler Road outside of Chehalis and stole a bucket full of tools. Most of the tools, valued at $800, had the initials JM welded on them. The burglary was reported shortly before noon Monday.

• Deputies responded to a reported burglary on the 100 block of Salkum Road shortly before 5 p.m. Monday. The victim, a 33-year-old Salkum man, told deputies that someone forced entry to a building on his property sometime between Friday and Monday, and stole a tablet, a laptop, two camera security systems, 10 bags of tin cans and tools. The total loss is between $2,000 and $3,000.

• Deputies arrested two 16-year-olds, one from Ocean Park,  and the other from Ilwaco, after a suspected burglary that took place at about 10:30 p.m. March 31 at a Chevron on the 12000 block of U.S. Highway 12 in Packwood. A caller told police someone had broken out a glass window and stolen Swisher sweet cigars as well as business cards and a magnifying glass. Deputies made contact with the two after a tip they were near Blanton’s Market; deputies say one of the two youths had cigars sticking out of his pocket and subsequently confessed. Both were booked into the Lewis County Juvenile Detention Center. Total loss is estimated at just over $70.

 

Failure to Register

• James D. Sutherland, a 33-year-old transient, was arrested and booked into jail on a failure to register as a sex offender warrant shortly before 2 p.m. Monday when he showed up at the sheriff’s office to exchange his transient log.

 

Drugs in the Jail

• Darcie N. Negrete, 22, Centralia, was arrested at the Lewis County Jail shortly before 1 a.m. Tuesday after jail staff allegedly found five pills in a rolled up sock in her coat. Another inmate told the jail staff that after she was booked into jail by the Department of Corrections on March 28 for a drug related charge, she sat on the toilet in a jail cell and removed the pills from a “body cavity.”

 

Dog Bite

• Daniel S. Telford, 21 of Toledo, will be cited for dog at large after his yellow Lab left his property on the 700 block of Eadon Road, jumped up on a 59-year-old Toledo woman, knocking her down and then biting her arm. The dog will be quarantined.

 

Centralia Police Department

Assault

• Nathan L. Roy, 30, of White Swan, was arrested and booked for suspected assault after an incident on the 1000 block of Harrison Avenue at 10:25 a.m. Wednesday.

 

Theft

• Packages were reported stolen at 9:10 a.m. Tuesday from the front of a residence on the 1000 block of F Street.

• Copper piping was stolen from a house under renovation on the 2800 block of Russell Road at 1 p.m. Tuesday.

• Officers responded to a shoplifting call from a business on the 1100 block of Johnson Road at 8:41 p.m. Wednesday. Police are still investigating the situation.

 

Violation of Conditions of Release

• Shannon K. Kilgore, 45, of Centralia, was arrested at 3:17 p.m. Tuesday on the 100 block of South Tower Avenue and booked into jail for allegedly violating the conditions of her release.

 

Chehalis Police Department

Shoplifting

• Annie R. Markstrom, 19, of Centralia, was cited for third-degree theft after she allegedly tried to steal nearly $700 worth of items from Walmart. She allegedly took a suitcase from the luggage section of the store and filled it with several pieces of clothing, electronics and groceries. She allegedly told police she did not have money to buy things for Easter and that was why she stole the items.
