Threat Received at Olympic Elementary in Chehalis

Olympic Elementary School in Chehalis received a phone call from an anonymous caller today, threatening everyone at the school, according to an automated message from the school district.

According to the message sent by the Chehalis School District to parents and guardians, the threat contained no other information. Law enforcement officials were notified immediately and responded within minutes.

“We have no basis to say if this threat was credible, nevertheless, there will be police presence at our school tomorrow,” stated the message.

Parents and guardians who feel it is best to keep their child at home tomorrow may do so and the student’s absence will be excused.

The Chehalis Police Department is currently investigating the identification of the caller.
