The 53rd-annual Cowlitz Prairie Grange Threshing Bee will return to the Robert Herren farm in Toledo Friday through Sunday.

Also on display is a horse-drawn, steam-powered water pump used to battle one of the large San Francisco fires in the late 19th century.

The weekend kicks off at 6 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 25, with the tractor parade and potato bar starting at Toledo High School and ending in the event’s field. On Saturday and Sunday, the gates open at 6 a.m. and the threshing machine starts operating around 11 a.m. Events All Weekend
