A woman with multiple pending court cases, including three felonies, was ordered held on $150,000 bail following her most recent arrest for drug possession.

Candice Baughman, 31, of Centralia, was charged Monday in Lewis County Superior Court with possession of methamphetamine.

She was recently arrested on a driving under the influence charge and now has three pending felony charges, including Monday’s.

Lewis County Deputy Prosecutor Paul Masiello asked for $150,000 bail, saying that she had posted $75,000 on two of her other pending cases and had allegedly broken the law again.

Masiello said a 2016 burglary case is still unresolved due to the need for an evaluation by Western State Hospital.

Superior Court Judge Joely O’Rourke set bail as requested and scheduled Baughman’s next court hearing for Thursday.

According to court documents, a trooper with the Washington State Patrol was at the construction zone at the Chamber of Commerce Way Interstate 5 overpass when he saw a vehicle exit the freeway, cross over Chamber Way and drive around traffic barriers.

The trooper stopped the vehicle, driven by Baughman, who the trooper believed to be under the influence of methamphetamine.

Baughman was placed under arrest for DUI and searched. Troopers reported finding a spoon with a white substance recognized as methamphetamine, according to court documents.

Troopers found more meth, a glass smoking device and a glass straw with drug residue in her purse. More drug paraphernalia was reportedly found in the car.
