Movie ‘Freakonomics’ Coming to Methodist Church
“Freakonomics: The Movie” will be shown at 7 p.m. Thursday at the First United Methodist Church, 506 W. Washington Ave., Centralia.
“Freakonomics”is the film version of the bestselling book about incentives-based thinking by Steven Levitt and Stephen Dubner. The film examines human behavior with provocative and sometimes hilarious case studies, bringing together a dream team of filmmakers responsible for some of the most acclaimed and entertaining documentaries in recent years.
The movie is sponsored by the Fire Mountain Chapter Fellowship of Reconciliation and the Veterans for Peace Rachel Corrie Chapter 109.

Beekeepers Plan Orientation Session
The Lewis County Beekeepers will be having an orientation session 10 a.m.-noon Saturday, Nov. 17, in Washington Hall 103, Centralia College.
The event will cover benefits of beekeeping; “Bee Biology 101”; equipment you’ll need; how to set up your apiary; your first year of beekeeping — what you do; getting and managing bees; harvesting honey; parasites and diseases; overwintering; and more.
No registration is needed, and children are welcome.
This orientation is a preview of the LCBA’s beginning beekeeping class, which will be offered through Centralia College Continuing Education in January and February.
