Newell-Hoerling’s Mortuary Collecting Socks for Those in Need

Newell-Hoerling’s Mortuary is collecting socks for those in need this month as part of a drive to assist local residents.

Any collected socks will be donated to Gather Church for distribution through the “Socks in the City” program.

"We invite our community to join in our ‘Warm Hearts and Feet Sock Drive,’” stated an email from the mortuary. “In this wet Washington weather, having warm and dry feet are incredibly important to help avoid discomfort, illness and disease. This sock drive will help provide new, clean, warm socks to members of our community that don't have access to them.”

New socks of all colors and sizes will be collected at the mortuary’s Centralia location, 205 W. Pine St. Donations will be accepted through the end of February.
