Be Ready as the Seahawks Stop in Centralia on Friday for 12 Tour

Posted

Seahawks fans will have the opportunity to meet and mingle with members of their favorite football team on Friday when the 12 Tour rolls into Centralia.

The 12 Tour will feature former Seahawk wide receiver Ricardo Lockette and current players George Fant and Joey Hunt, as well as the Sea Gals cheerleaders and Blitz the mascot.

The tour will run Friday through Saturday and will roll from Seattle to Portland and back again with stops in Centralia, Vancouver, Portland and Tacoma.

At 11 a.m. on Friday, the Seahawks contingent will be at Tiger Stadium, at 2526 Mt. Vista Road, Centralia, for a 12th man flag ceremony, and then, at 12:15 p.m., the Seahawks caravan will head over to Safeway on Harrison Avenue in order to hand out gift certificates to unsuspecting shoppers.

The 12 Tour is sponsored by Safeway.

During this year’s 12 Tour, the team is seeking suggestions from Seahawks fans on tourist attractions or true blue 12’s that the tour should visit along the way. Fans are encouraged to submit their suggestions via Twitter by using the hashtag #12Tour. In some instances, the team will confirm their plans in advance and other times they will arrive at a suggested location completely unannounced.

Players in Attendance

George Fant is a 6-5, 296-pound rookie tackle out of Western Kentucky University. Fant used a fifth year of academic eligibility to play football in 2015 after completing his fourth year of basketball eligibility. That 2015 season of football was his first action on the gridiron since the eighth grade. Fant posted a 4.83 40-yard dash time and a 37-inch vertical leap during a tryout earlier this year. During his basketball career at Western Kentucky he became the 13th-leading scorer and eighth-leading rebounder in school history. As a senior, Fant averaged 13.8 points and 8.4 boards per game.

Joey Hunt is a 6-2, 299-pound rookie center out of Texas Christian University. He was selected in the sixth round of the 2016 NFL Draft by the Seahawks. Hunt made 36 career starts in 43 games for the TCU Horned Frogs and was a first-team All-Big-12 selection in 2015.

Ricardo Lockette is a recently retired wide receiver for the Seahawks. In 34 games over five NFL seasons Lockette hauled in 22 catches for 451 yards and four touchdowns. He also played in two Super Bowls for Seattle, winning a championship ring in 2014. Lockette announced his retirement in May due to a serious neck injury that he sustained during a win versus the Dallas Cowboys last November.
